***World of Warcraft : Legion***

I'll add you tonight :)

I'm only 86 but it won't take me too long to get to 110. I sold my account after BWL in vanilla so I've spent quite a bit of time just exploring the expansions etc.

You can get to 910+ easy and quickly in argus. Quest the area as a blood dk, u won't even come close to dying.

Been doing as Unholy which is my main spec, i havent finished the Blood DK Artifact weapon :( mainly because i tried it in Unholy spec and the mobs hit like a frickin train, as they are essentially tuned for hitting a tank, and i dont have a decent 2H i can use, well actually i do, i have the Siege of Ogrimmar 2h Axe i think i can boost to 110 and use that? :)

Been doing those Argus quests but all ive gotten is the Artifact power so far, just got the Warframe ability though and a guildy told me i can use that to solo the silver elites?

In your order hall (Acherus for DKs) there is a vendor which will sell you some weapons to use, from memory its a abomination, should have a 2h that will be enough to do the artifact quest on.

Has much non raid content been added since just after the release of Kara / Trial of Valor? I was playing a lot from legion release until then (had 4 chars max levels, playing them all) but stopped due to some irl stuff. I was raiding then. Probably dont want to raid now, but curious if there is much non raid stuff to do?

They've added two new dungeons since then plus you have some relatively long quest chains in Suramar leading up to the Nighthold raid and on the Broken Shore leading up to the Tomb of Sargeras raid, this included a new reputation, new world quests and challenge mode scenarios for each class specialization where you can earn an artifact appearance, some of these can be quite fun/challenging to complete.

Then we had the Argus quests leading up to the Antorus raid. Argus brought with it 3 small-medium sized zones in which these quests and world quest take place, there are also a bunch of 'rares' that spawn here dropping AP and a currency that helps you catch up to 910+ ilvl, there are also two new reputations you can work on here. With the lead up to Tomb of Sargeras they also added invasions in the broke shore zones that happen every now and then, these are basically a bunch of world quests followed by a 3 player scenario. On Argus you have invasions which are more loose world boss raid style encounters. Off the top of my head I think that's most of it PvE wise outside of raiding but if you can find a casual guild that works for you maybe don't rule out raiding completely?

Can you Transmog the Winter outfits yet? I want to do my WQ's as Santa!
With outfits tied to world events you can generally transmog items during the period the event is active, not sure specifically about winter outfits, give it a go :)

I bought Legion the other day and renewed my subscription. Looking forward to getting back into again as I haven't played it since 2005 or something. I'm starting my character off from level 1 because if I use my level 100 character boost I'll have no idea how to play my class properly. Plus leveling up from level 1 will be fun. I enjoy learning my way around a game the good old fashioned way.

Just keep in mind the leveling is a little broken in places at the moment (they're actually sorting it next patch). Take your time, enjoy it - at certain points you'll start out-leveling the zones you're in until you get closer to the Legion content. I'd also strongly advise start looking for a nice casual guild on your server who can help you settle back in, answer questions etc and hopefully do the raiding, mythic dungeon or pvp content you're wanting to do at max level.

Thanks for the tips. I did read about the new patch changing the leveling experience but I wanted to start off playing now just to get into the game.

I'll certainly look for a guild as raiding would be fun.

Would love to get back into this, anyone willing to give me a run day in game and a helping hand maybe?

Add me ingame Xylonite#2178 is my bnet tag, I will hold your hand while you learn. I can even roll up anew character to level with you if you want

Same for you @Cromulent I play Eonar Horde and have a casual guild with Brits in it, some I work with, we all have lives and stuff so aren't hardcore.

Bought Legion in the sale and really enjoying it so far. The DH class is great, although I can't work out if I like Vengeance or Havoc the most.

Appearance collection question: if my Warrior gets a cloth or leather or mail drop - is that appearance added to my wardrobe (as he can, technically, use that type of armour)? I suspect this would be too good to be true, but I want an old-raid-solo-class to sweep through them as get cool transmogs for other characters.

Anyone bought WoW Tokens? , It's essentially buying gold right?

Yes, basically you buy it and list the item on the Auction house, when it sells you get the amount of gold it is valued at when you list it (the price varies). The gold is coming from other players who buy the tokens with gold in WoW and use them either for game time or turning into battle.net balance to buy other things e.g. Hearthstone packs or Overwatch boxes.

Afraid not, your warrior will only be able to collect Plate appearances but on the plus side you'll be able to collect appearances for most weapon types. You should get a message in chat telling you when an appearance has been added to your collection but the general rule is your character has to be able to use it and it needs to be soulbound - whilst classes can technically wear different armour types you actually get a 5% buff to your primary stat for wearing the correct armour type.
