***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

Overstated? So you've not really been affected but those that have been seeing ridiculous queues of hundreds of minutes at random times of the day are all overstating what they're seeing?

The expansion released last week and it was only last night that I finally managed to make it on after queueing for a couple of hours to be able to get onto Silvermoon.

And to those saying "move server or reroll", I don't want to do that and I shouldn't have to do that either. I have characters that have been on Silvermoon since day one, there are people that I am friends with that have been there for that amount of time as well and it really isn't as easy to just up and leave. And plus, I believe the two servers on offer to transfer to from Silvermoon are almost just as badly affected by queues right now.

All in all the expansion is great, I had a good time playing it last night for the hour that I managed at 22:00 when I finally got logged into the game, but the launch has been a shoddy mess on Blizzard's part. And I don't believe that it is up to the players to find the solution themselves by moving to a less-populated server in this instance.

What do you expect exactly? Never ending server capacity? They open new servers and offer transfers for a reason. If everyone is affected like this then why dont you and all of your friends move together? Its free.

Well mate the silvermoon server was 'full' even before the expansion hit and was offering free transfers to another realm. So yes its being overstated.

What has that got to do with it?

The fact is the queues are massive and people are complaining. There is no exaggeration on the complaints, they are legit complaints about the servers being very full. So no, the complaints about the servers having ridiculous queues are not overstated.

Bit of a difference of queuing for a little while compared to 4k+ queues and countless hours of waiting....don't you think?

Comes with the territory for overpopulated realms as far as im concerned, thats why i moved my toons from Draenor to Chamber of Aspects.

Yes its worse now after an expansion launch but thats par for the course, it will be better as people get over the early game rush.

Theey (blizz) had additional pop throttling in place which i think they are now gradually increasing as they are implementing the phasing tech across draenor but simple fact is your not likely to get much sympathy from blizz or elsewhere about having massive queues on massive realms.

As jubei said why not move the guild as a whole first free transfers that come up? I know theres a lot of benefits being on a heavily populated realm but alas expansion time is one of the negatives.

With the shared AH's across factions now and CRZ the bigger realms dont have that allure anymore for me, Chamber of Aspects is now classed as high pop when it was originally a FCM from draenor. Glad i moved tbh

One big issue causing the queues is the amount of people staying in combat to keep themselves logged in. If you get into a high pop server do a /who ragefire - the top 50 on Draenor are mostly L100 with a few L90

They should get at the very least a couple of days ban for that as it is an exploit stopping other people play.

When you get to play the expansion seems really good, it's just getting on that is the problem.

I queued for 6 hours on friday, only to manage a little bit of levelling due to crazy lag and phasing issues.
After 7+ hours queueing on saturday I managed to get my garrison sorted out and make some slow progress.

No queue sunday morning! So I managed to stay on all day and hit 95.

Tonight straight home from work and 3500 in queue and 350mins to wait :(

So tempted to leave Kazzak but not sure where to go to...... I moved to Kazzak because Doomhammer and Anachronos were too quiet!

Anyone recruiting? PVE, semi serious raiding, some PVP?

Well I moved to a higher pop realm because of blizzards incompetence of balancing the realm I was on and the horde side became dead. So after spending money in moving my chars I am now being told to move back to a low pop realm which probably will be dead within 6 months. Think I will pass and unsubscribe.

Whats the quickest way to get gold? Need to get new gear for my warrior before i get this.

You don't need gear from the AH. Questing will upgrade your gear quickly if you haven't already got raid gear. At level 90 most of my gear was in the low 500's (Timeless Isle drops mostly)
At level 95 I'm only using 1 item from level 90 and its a set of 553 gloves.

I'm not sure about heirlooms at 90+ I don't have any, am I missing out?

the only one 90+ was the garrosh weapons and you aint missin out by not having them

We will be recruiting for our guild on Twisting Nether, Horde. Looking to be hardcore progressive raiding. Hours will be from 4pm-2am CET Monday-Friday, 5pm-2am Sat/Sun. If you have experience raiding please leave a comment in this thread with your application. Currently we are full on tanks and melee dps, so looking for ranged spell casters and healers specifically priests.

Still looking. Have had good interest but no-one good enough as of yet.

Nope, a few hundred maybe with say 30 minutes wait, fair enough. 3000 + with wait times of 4-5 hours is ridiculous.

If Blizzard had the infrastructure in place then people wouldn't have to keep themselves logged in so they can play what they've paid for.

I personally wouldn't do it but the finger should be pointed at Blizzard for causing the mess in the 1st place, not players who want to play what they've paid for.

If they couldn't cope with demand they should have made more incentive for free character migrations .

Disable new account character creation on high pop servers etc.

Wish free character migration was working. Tried to take my druid off Silvermoon over the weekeed, couldn't do it, just says there's no eligible characters.
Been checking the forums, seems I'm not the only 1.

Same I'd transfer all my characters off sylvannas.

I heard it was causing problems so it was disabled. Could be its a money making scheme by blizzard. Make everyone deseperate so they pay :p

Yeah but my gear isn't high enough to do dungeons.
