***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

Walking into an outpost or my garrison and having NPCs saying, "Welcome Commander Biro" as I walk past them makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I love this xpac. Can't wait to get home and complete my L2 tannery and assign a LW follower to it (Ka'la I think?), will be interesting to see how that changes it. Can they actually gather crafting materials? Seem to be running out of leather a hell of a lot, so having an extra 'flow' would be nice.

im enjoying it so far, hit 100 on sunday morning mainly focusing on garrison stuff and getting followers and also a few dungeons. it would be good if they updated the armory app so you could send followers on missions from your phone!

Yes please!

The content is superb -minus a few bugs or poor design choices.

However the technical implementation borders on terrible. The queues are a significant issue on any well populated server. There are only couple ways to avoid it.

1) Wait for a server restart and log on.
2) Log on early and afk until you can actually play.

Both of these are unacceptable and the 2nd just screws someone else over. They really need to get their ass in gear and loan some servers while interest is at its highest.

Edit: At the least they should offer free character migration to lower pop realms.

Kind of wish I got an intel cpu now as im running an amd fx8320 and it doesn't run wow too well. Around 30fps in npc/player heavy areas on max settings. Was expecting a bit more although I know its not really a gpu heavy game.

The new engine should actually be able to load a FX8 up quite well, the game is supposed to be a lot less CPU bound now that it multi-threads properly and the GPU usage has shot up.

I guess its probably just normal then with all the spell clutter etc and everything on max. In bgs etc Im running at a constant 60fps

Ive noticed a lot of people on my battlenet afk all day in low level dungeons so im guessing thats what they are doing to make sure they stay online and not in a queue when they get home from work.

Seems a bit unfair for those genuinely waiting in queue that someone can sit all day in Ragefire Chasm getting hit by low level mobs to make sure they dont disconnect.

I expect that will be patched out soonish

For whoever asked about assigning followers to a building i have aguy in my Alchemy lab and he gives me a daily reward bit like blingtron, seems to be a random few flasks. He also boosts the work order rewards.

Its a nice touch.

Are there any mount trainers in Draenor? I need to increase my mount speed as it's only 100%.

No there is not, you can however get a stables in your garrison that gives mount speed bonus or use a class bonus.

Other than that 100% is the limit its great, enjoy the scenery or use flight paths . Reminds me of the good old days.

Hey all

Any idea where the paladin trainer is, tried the one in stormwind & also ironforge too low level for me, dinged 95 last night and noticed in my spellbook that there are some extra glyphs that I can learn.

Cheers all

Despite the odd issue with the queuing, which I think is overstated by some of the community, this is undoubtedly a great expansion. They really have done a cracking job with so many aspects. It feels familiar but also like a new game.

Overstated? So you've not really been affected but those that have been seeing ridiculous queues of hundreds of minutes at random times of the day are all overstating what they're seeing?

The expansion released last week and it was only last night that I finally managed to make it on after queueing for a couple of hours to be able to get onto Silvermoon.

And to those saying "move server or reroll", I don't want to do that and I shouldn't have to do that either. I have characters that have been on Silvermoon since day one, there are people that I am friends with that have been there for that amount of time as well and it really isn't as easy to just up and leave. And plus, I believe the two servers on offer to transfer to from Silvermoon are almost just as badly affected by queues right now.

All in all the expansion is great, I had a good time playing it last night for the hour that I managed at 22:00 when I finally got logged into the game, but the launch has been a shoddy mess on Blizzard's part. And I don't believe that it is up to the players to find the solution themselves by moving to a less-populated server in this instance.

I'm in the same boat(well my characters are on Draenor) as you and agree 100%

It definitely is not overstated.

even now at 4pm, the queue to get on to Silvermoon is 2500.

Well mate the silvermoon server was 'full' even before the expansion hit and was offering free transfers to another realm. So yes its being overstated.
