***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

Well I'm so close to quiting already its silly. 26 bosses on normal (609 ilevel) and absolutely no loot! TWENTY SIX IN A ROW! What sort of **** is that? The instances arent even fun to heal either, so its an absolute chore just to do them before I can start doing them all over again on heroic... Oh the joy.

With the garrison instability tonight I've had literally nothing to do. Levelled both alchemy and herbalism to 700 already, I dont do pvp and the other profs don't interest me. Whats left? Level my warrior? Means I'll have to play the same rubbish content just with another character -.-

Really not happy.

TLDR = having a whinge because of how crap the loot system is.

I rarely complain about loot if you got everything within a few weeks you would stop playing anyway. It's just RNG, isn't there other ways to acquire gear anyway?

try spending nearly 6 hours of your time in dungeons for absolutely nothing and you'll know how I feel. The whole point of these games is carrot on a stick style approach to loot. The only problem for me at the moment is that there's no carrot or stick lol.

If there's no carrot or stick, why have you done 26 bosses in a row? Surely something must be pushing you to still run instances?

Have you ever tried PvP? It's surprisingly fun once you know what you're meant to be doing :)

I am sitting at Level 93, play only 1 hour a day, and the game stays fresh, PvP is good as it equals every one to the same HP (well close to it).

So when I ding 100, the bugs will be fixed, and I get all the drops in raids :)

I've never gotten on with PvP :( it just seems too fast and reactive for my play style (i.e. I lie to just trundle along), although I would like to give it a proper go.

Edit: Also got to lvl 100 last night on my paladin... Healing is very hard at the moment! So many people just stand in stuff (so naturally I let them die), but some people just don't think about other things going on (i.e. in Skyreach[?] the adds that pick you up and dump you off the edge, DPS just ignore them, leading to me being very vocal about how they shouldn't be so closed minded to the boss). The only way is up though!

Also, I'm not sure on the Garrison version of dailies to be honest. There is just no story, no quest, just go and kill/interact with things. I like the style, but I think there should just be some more story (albeit I have only done Shattrath city so far).

I'm still fairly newish to the game so excuse my ignorance, but with regards the compensation of 5 days play time, why does that only apply if you pay via subscription. Surely the issue for which they are apologising affected everyone the same or am I misunderstanding their terminology?

If i do understand it correctly it seems like a very cheap way of convincing people to sign up for subscription rather than say game cards.

Your game card gives you an active subscription... If you go on to the battle net website and look at your wow game it'll say you have an active subscription (AFAIK) so game cards still count, as would 30 days of free play with a new game.

I'd love to get into PvP, it's just a horrendously steep learning curve. By the time I get to PvP everyone is already destroying :p

I also don't think a Shadow Priest is gonna do much damage :o

Half a level to go till I am lvl 100, Currently plodding along on my warrior and leveling in prot spec :) So much fun, Cannot wait till I am 100 and can switch my arms spec to a gladiator spec and see if it is any good.

I do find instances frustrating even as a tank, I actively try to mitigate as much damage as possible for myself and always pay attention to the mechanics but the amount of people that die on the first boss of Auchindoun is just unbelievable, Drives me mad.

On another note does anyone else think this expansion seems to be geared towards casters or Agi DPS? The amount of rare bosses that drop gear for them and if you look at the raid gear weapons there is way more agi and int gear than there is str and stam gear weapons.

I've got no professions (only 2 gathering ones skinning & herbalism) so what should I build in my Garrison? I'm only lvl 91 and got the basic build with a space for a small building but no idea where I get the plans from. I was thinking about getting the Enchanters Study so I can disenchant stuff and then flog it but do you have to do quests to get the plans?

Whatever you want, You can craft stuff from these trainers without actually having the profession, My Enchanter (I am JC and Mining) seems to have a fair few recipes, I doubt it is everything though.

If you do fancy some PvP, focus on the larger battlegrounds and spec as a healer and you'd be surprised at just how useful you can be. Healers are woefully underrated in PvP and they can turn the tide of many fights almost instantly. And you'll also be very surprised at just how many players don't target the healers first. You'll probably rack up more points than most DPS classes. I used to love healing in Alterac Valley on my Discipline Priest. They used to be really powerful and their survivability was amazing.

Go thunderhorn! :D

Thunderhorn has been excellent :D

MW

Enjoying what i have experienced so far, no real ground breaking changes. But the zones definitely have a stronger wow feel about them which suits me fine ;)

I am struggling to choose what class to settle with though, got my druid to 92 and it just felt really mundan playing feral feels lacking somehow. Then moved over to my retri pala which has been enjoyable so far. But not sure if it's got enough variety of play to hold my attention for any length of time.

Any suggestions? I almost have every lvl 90 and love pvp which is the foundation of the game for me. Hence i'm thinking of going back on my rogue full-time.

Also looking for a guild with a ts/vent for some community banter and dungeons. On (Twilight Hammer) if anyone has some guild suggestions i would be most grateful. :D
