***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

Had my first raid day with my guild today. We managed to go 4/7 and will continue tomorrow. I haven't had this much fun since Wrath, and it's so nice having new content to try out.

How did you guys find Brackenspore? Any tips and tricks? Average ilvl and amount of peeps? How did you handle the moss?

Guild I'm in was doing it last night night and we were running into a few problems - either wipe at 40ish% or run into the enrage timer. Personally, I think we had too many folks around 13k dps (12mN).

The moss is a soft enrage effectively. There's only so long you can keep it back before you don't have the scope on your flamethrower to get rid of it.

Key points are to plan around the blue mushrooms. That's your DPS. You have to fully utilise those to be able to kill him. Have your flame throwers on ranged DPS as well ideally.

Soggy? ;)

Downed him HC last night. He was infuriating.

Got something new to try tonight, focusing as much on the blue mushroom as possible, healers should be able to out heal the spores damage and we get the most out of the mushroom.

switching the flamethrowers aswell?

Might aswell say here, but working 'late' (5.30 rather than 4.30, lol) and depending on trains I might not make it online until 7 potentially :D

Maybe switch them but I'm not sure who else should do them or if they were even doing anything wrong.

That's fine mate.

Yeah we have had 2 warlocks doing it, I don't think they are doing anything wrong but having not done it myself I can't be sure, according to the Fatboss video I just watched it might be better if we use 2 melee with decent Movement, IE rogue/warrior, but not sure if that's really better.

I think we should move one our locks off, his dps normally is a good 3k more than the others.

Despite owning every expansion up until Mists of Pandaria, I've never really indulged the idea of playing WoW, until now.

I originally started the base game with a Night Elf, and reached the high forties before becoming disinterested. Progress was incredibly slow, and it seemed like an age before I could get into the latest content, which was Cataclysm at the time.
I did boost a Worgen character to level 80, but stopped my subscription shortly thereafter, due to other commitments.

I've been giving the latest expansion some serious thought, owing to refinements which have made the game more accessible to newcomers. Previously, the game seemed almost insurmountable, and required an obscene amount of play-time to achieve a level of competency.
This time, it seems much more streamlined, which can only mean good things for those of us with only a spare few hours of an evening.

I'm thinking of boosting the aforementioned Worgen character to level 90 and setting to work with the latest content, and forgoing the enormous back-catalog of content from the previous expansions for the time being. I don't want to bite off more than I can chew!

The latest changes to the game and free character boost make level 90 content instantly accessible, including professions, without you having to grind your way through old irrelevant (to some) content before you can start making current items.

The new garrisons feature, amongst other things, also adds a level of AFK production for profession items, which should also suit those with less time available to play the game.

The above improvements, along with the expansion of the Looking For Group system to mention just a few things, make this the best and most accessible expansion so far in my opinion, and I'd thoroughly recommend it.

Did my run first time, no wipes & didn't take long - must have been lucky tbh, I'd have given up had I experienced problems with that many pugs.

^^ the amount of ***** have increased 10 fold in WoD, it seems uncommon now to get through a raid or dungeon without someone being kicked. I reckon I've been kicked at least 10 times in the last 2 weeks, for either no reason or someone raging over the smallest things. Before WoD I've probably only been kicked maybe once or twice.

I think part of the problem is the free level 90 boost. Lots of people are getting a big boost into end game content.

Getting kicked is all part of WoD, I get it often in HC dungeons due to not enough DPS, well as a Ehnc shaman not my fault thanks Blizzard, but we did a run with 3 guildies and the healer tried to kick me lol like that was going to work

I never vote to kick anybody. My vote is always no :D.

I mainly heal in heroics and the worse people are the more interesting it makes it. Sometimes I have to heal 30000 HPS on Warlord Zaela to keep people alive :D
