***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

Meant DH not DK, lol. Was comparing the beta to the LK one which is the last time I got into a WoW beta. I just don't understand the constant need to water down / destroy any sort of class flavor. Do people really say the classes need to be simpler when they unsub?

Not a day one purchase for me (1st time i wont be playing the expansion come release day), and I'm glad I cancelled my pre-order. I might pick it up in 6 months time possibly but I'm hoping for a Legacy announcement of some sort at Blizzcon.

Downloading the game now :D
My chars are around the 610 gear score, have I got much catching up to do?
Also think I gave away all my gold and mats when I left, think I might have some farming to do:eek:

Will also look to change to a half decent PVE realm. What's a popular one you guys are on?

Agree 100% this is the first expansion I havent been around for at launch since I started playing. The WoD content, raiding + leveling content were good. But the sheer gap in content, it just seems to get worse every expansion.

Hopefully there will be some sort of legacy annoucement at Blizzcon. But it could be some time before anything happens on that front as well.

They can't bring out a legacy server it would be admitting defeat for future content.

Not too much, get to the Jungle, you can get 695 items via there.
I'm getting 710~720 from raids atm. Alt is nearly all baleful gear!

Ours is a low pop realm so won't suggest it :)

anyone who has bought a cd key not from blizzard, have you recieved the free level 100 boost?

Months ago, your battle.net should change colour to legion as well as your login screen (I think), you'll be able to apply it from the character select screen if you have it.

Check what your account is on the website.:)

So apparently Legion will not have flying to start with, and will be gated behind achievements until at least one patch in, if not later. Sounds like a con. You have to go everywhere on the ground which takes more play time, therefore when subs are down, the money is rolling in.

Sucks for a casual player with limited game time.

It's more to stop people facerolling quests, it was pretty easy when you could just fly over all the trash and drop onto the boss, then mount up and fly away.

That's exactly what they did in WoD, and it worked quite well. It meant you actually got to see the landscape and had to fight your way to a few places now and again.

They brought in an achievement in one of the patches that, once completed, meant all your characters could fly. It wasn't difficult, and it only took a couple of weeks (mostly for the rep grind).

I don't see any problem with doing it that way at all.

just bought wow and legion, made a DK on Argent Dawn server Alliance side called Tyranton and boosted straight to 100.

Time to see what all this fuss is about on this game.

If this is your first time playing I would not recommend boosting straight to 100.

You're missing out on a big part of what the game actually is. You'll also miss out on a lot of the "wow" factor (pardon the pun) but boosting straight to end game.

Start a new character and work your way up. If nothing else it's a long tutorial which is absolutely needed to understand how the game (and your class) works.

I hate leveling now but I would never ever consider starting any mmorpg at end game.

had legion not been on the door step I wouldn't of boosted, I intend to learn my character, play legion then leave.......heard too many worrying addiction stories to plow too much play time into this.

You wont get to experience much of Legion story if that's your intention. You'd have been better waiting off for another 18 months then playing :p

Been looking at classes away from the Paladin for legion and IDK what to do.

Ret seems so-so, Prot has monster DPS but you move entirely away from HoPo earning/spending.

Feral has been dumbed down but has little down-time. Most other classes experience pretty substantial trims/reworks. Plus I gotta get it to 100 before launch!

I think you will miss a lot of what's enjoyable about the game by skipping to 100. Also the game doesn't end at maximum level. My mate did this during vanilla. Levelled his character to 60 (leveling used to be slow and boring back then), and stopped. He considered the game 'complete' :o

As for Legion being out in 2 months that's more than enough time to level if you wanted too. I've done about 6 hours in the last 4 days and I am almost level 30.
