Unless they fixed it recently Ashran is a wreck! Spamming BGs should get you 690 gear for little-no effort plus 710 gear with marks of honor :)

Don't think it matters what gear you have now, Legion is only a few weeks away & you'll be getting better gear at a couple of levels in.
 
What's these ilvl 800+ items I'm seeing on characters on WoWprogress? Is it showing the level items will be once they're at 110? Or are there 800ilvl items available now?
 
Heirloom Trinkets from WoD Mythic Dungeons that scale. Weirdly, it shows the ilvl of the item once they're at 110, not what they are currently. Same happens through the WoW Armoury App too.
 
Most people hate their class now, just like everything the majority of people don't like change, I don't like what they've done to Hunters but just like at the beginning of WoD people will get used to it and the specs will get tweaked and become better with set bonuses and gear.
 
I like the bear. Damage has gone up a lot, mainly due to Thrash now hitting as hard as mangle but AoE.
Ironfur being something you just keep up is a bit bland but mastery changes are OK.

Not really done much kitty, not done moonkin since TBC/Wrath.
Spent 3 days as resto before dual specs came in...
 
Haven't played since December, will be coming back but just not sure when, I see a lot of hate for the class changes which is a bit disheartening as my 2 mains in WoD were Hunter and Ret Paladin but I'm sure it will work out okay in the end or maybe I'll give my Mage/Rogue a go in Legion.

You need to play them for yourself and see what's what, it'll be different for everyone, you may like the changes!
 
Pre-purchased Legion on Battle.net, downloading the game now.

A few questions from me, I'm coming back into this having stopped playing back in Cataclysm. The free boosted character I get will be in 640 ilvl gear, what are my options with regard to getting better gear so I'm ready for the expansion?

Also any pointers as to what else I should be doing in the run-up to the 30th.
