Stopped playing after CATA, recently back
I quit in Wrath and came back 11 or so months ago, from playing both WoW and Hearthstone I've seen a queue on battle.net a few times, it's rare but does happen from time to time.

If the boosted character is above level 60 then you will receive maxed primary professions and also first aid but make sure you have learnt these before you boost.
You start with 483? gear and I think you get a little amount of gold (maybe 250 or so) but I can't remember tbh.

Just a lsight correction. you dont "need" to learn any proffession before you boost. If you have none learnt at the time of the boost and you are above lvl 60 it will defualt two primary profs based on your class.

I did not know that, I would still make sure to learn them beforehand to make sure you get what you want though.

What about if you boost from level 1?

At level 1, you get to 90 with 483 gear and all flight points, but no professions levelled.
IMO its definitely worth getting to 60 first then boosting to 90 so you get the professions.

I suppose it depends. Is it quicker to level professions or a character.

Depends if you have the 5-10k gold depending on which professions you pick, 1-60 can be done pretty quickly and with everything being bought with gold now, saving as much gold as you can is probably best.
Yeah, I mean if you are at gold cap it's probably easier to just spend the gold on professions and save your time, but for the average player who doesn't have a whole lot, 1-60 isn't too bad. But jewelcrafting/enchanting which is what I took on my boosted characer cost like 12k each to level, I'd much prefer the 24k.

What is the average /played for 1-60 nowadays in full heirlooms? I haven't levelled from 1 since Wrath.

not sure tbh, but probably doable in about 10? hours, depending on if you're playing a tank/healer and rushing as fast as you can.

Tank and healer are pretty much insta queues so can level very quickly with instance quests and just instance experience. DPS not so much.

What are people's thoughts on Monk Tanks, in LFR I seem to do fine and I am thinking about doing it on release. I tried to do the new dungeon and they said I couldnt keep the aggro but from my threat plates I was doing fine.
Was around 15 hours for me. Bit of afk time and some pet battling.
