***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

He seems serious to me.

I wasn't suggesting they kill themselves, I was thinking it was the duty of society to cleanse the gene pool of idiocy - or more realistically, I was pointing out by way of over-exaggeration that four previous expansion releases, confirmed pre-order numbers, data on the number of subscribers, and an IQ above 50, that current user activity was about as predictable as sunrise.

I've played World of Warcraft since the original US Beta. The only time they ever offered compensation was for the initial launch - I'll be amazed if they do widespread compensation for everybody. Either way I'll be on the phone being a whiny little girl about it, as I'm paying money for a service I'm not being provided with.

In the mean time I'm currently treading water with Dagenham and Redbridge as I have an awful start to the season in FM2015.

10 hour queues on Kazzak

People may think you're exaggerating but it's not far off based on the present estimate which is crazy.

I was thinking maybe they should do something that if your account hasn't been used for 6 months your characters get put on a holding realm and when you re-subscribe you have to choose a new realm or only maintain your old realm if the current population allows. My realm is always full but when people come back after 12 months it's then over full and hence the queues. I realise this doesn't solve this problem but it may help in the long run and may even help even out horde/alliance ratios on realms.

I'm currently getting close at a rat of 1 person a minute... Been in the queue since 15:30 and there are now about 460 ahead of me. It doesn't overly bother me as such, but I get everyone else frustration.

They would have reduced server capacity again as they have no idea how to fix their lag issues - funny thing is if they had just merged their low pop servers I expect the vast majority of user would be fine lag/queue wise.

And the garrison bug existed in beta too

They have in the past given compensation by way of free days to match time lost by server or connection issues. The trouble is that for most fans of the game this doesnt really compensate at all, since it only costs about 30p a day to play. It's like spending all day at work looking forward to something, getting home and finding the 5 hours of entertainment you were looking forward to isn't available and being offered 30 pence for it. I've been there in the past and been angry about it, so I can understand why people are substantially upset.

Queue position 2531....101min wait...

I have never had to queue for my realm in 10 years...wtf are they thinking?

They've reduced the player cap drastically in order to help with the lag etc. It means all servers are pretty much locked and have queues, some a lot more than others.

It is literally only the garrison area causing issues. It is the only failing here so far. You cannot expect any company to invest in hardware or infra that wont be required in less than 2 months time... it just doesnt make any business sense

It's more than that. Anyway, the garrison area is mandatory so most of the questlines beyond it aren't doable. I managed to get my rogue out and he's almost 92 now, but I've explored a lot and nearly all of the Horde outposts and towns are empty of quests.

There are hardly any people I come across while levelling. At least, not as many as there should be by now.

Well I'm 2 hours in the queue to get onto Argent Dawn. Started at 4400, now in 2751st.

228 minutes remaining. Though it did spike to 34 hours. Lols

My mates been in the queue since 15:30pm for Ragnaros EU and still isn't on yet!

I joined the same time on Argent Dawn EU and still not on... It'll be well over 6 hours before I get in... Not great.

Good luck with that :p

I'd usually be the type of person that would sit back and go "it's just a game, so what if I can't log in", but now that I have a family and my playing time is limited, I find it utterly disgraceful that a company as loaded as Blizzard couldn't see these issues coming a mile off and didn't then put something into place to get things running smoothly. I pre-ordered WoD, enjoyed the level 90 character boost, but so far, given that the game launched almost a few days ago, I am still yet to be able to log in to have a look at the new content. And if I do eventually make it through the 4k+ queue tonight, which is unlikely, then I've still got to contend with epic rubber-banding, disappearing mobs, unlootable corpses, and so on for however long it takes them to resolve these issues.

Unforseeable demand is a load of rubbish. They know how many copies of the game they've sold at pre-order, they know how many subscribers they've got right before launch, they have all the data that they need to put systems into place to have dealt with this "extra demand". 10 years ago you could excuse this because they were new to it, but now they should be seasoned pros. Hell knows they've had enough money from the subscriber base to indicate this.

Sometimes it's alright to sit back and let it slide, but now that my playtime is very limited, I want to be able to login and play the expansion that I paid £35 for when I have time to log in, not when their architecture says I am able to.

Not quite sure why you guys are even waiting in these queues, it isn't playable when you do get on; I'm sat waiting to get into my garrison for the past 4 hours

There is a thread with some memes going on about the launch on the wow forums.. some funny, some rubbish but lost the thread amongst the massive amount of replies and threads starting last few mins..

anyway here is one I have just made up... I am not bothered about the lack of game time and the issues we are all experiencing but thought I would jump on a bandwagon..
