Indeed. I just waited an hour and a half.. to login.

I think as I logged in the server had just reloaded so everyone was back at their hearthstone rushing back.... now stuck outside the garrison... if I try and go anywhere else I just get pulled back here lol.. no NPCs around so.. hell

Edit: got disconnected, was able to re-connect without queue and now its working for me so far - even garrison

Zomg I cant get in, blizzard don't care about me, why why does it happen every expansion, I demand a refund, my family will suffer as I cant play.......

seriously give you ****ing heads a shake you sound pathetic and I really do mean that the moaners, 10 years on you know the drill by know get on with life come back in week and play. Nothing wrong people discussing it but some of you act like under 10 year old.(yes like I just :P)

But Zomg I paid for a pre -order and all I get was lagggg...wah wah

Well it has been exactly 6 hours, and I am now number 44... Not great really... If I was a new player I would be put off by this.

Highlighted the bit that grinds with me... They know the drill as well... They should have a better grasp of things by now... Its not amateur hour!
 
When you do get on though it seems like a good expansion :)

However it all seems very easy, like killing mobs is fast (Item level 530) and I did 1 dungeon which as well - very easy..

The fact that people don't understand in huge companies like this, when launch of some sort happens, it would take £xxxxxxxxx to make it smooth be it games or products (eg phones's;) they know, we know it will settle in week or so for various reasons. The company wont absorb the cost it would be past onto the customer, it's pure business 101 at that level, im not talking small business mate im talking millions+ customers :D

You sir are correct, it makes perfect sense that I should bend over and accept sub-standard service no matter what. Purchased some meat in a shop that is crawling with maggots, just eat it, don't want to complain. Broadband not working for a month you say? I'll buy a carrier pigeon to transmit my correspondence.

I know the drill, you are correct, I've been here for every launch apart from TBC. This is the worst launch I've seen to date. As somebody else has said - if we are smart enough to know the drill, to anticipate extra user numbers... then I imagine the company that has half a bajillion times more information around orders, trends, user numbers, etc. could probably model them in a way to understand what exactly to expect come the launch.

As previously mentioned there are steps that could have been taken to avoid this situation. A 2 hour log on limit and then being kicked off to churn through the queue faster, less linear quest design to avoid players all being stuck in one zone, staggered release times based on subscription length - all would be viable alternatives, I'm not suggesting they had to throw a ton of money at new servers just to cope for a week of heavy load.

As for asking for a refund - what is your issue with this? I pay Blizzard a sum of money monthly, in return they provide me with a service. I have fulfilled my part of that contract by transmitting Blizzard my monthly stipend, I am unable to access the service for which I have paid. I'm not asking for a refund on the purchase price of the expansion, I will be asking for my money back on the subscription I've not been able to use, and a small sum for the inconveniance.

But of course, I'm in the wrong, I'm just a needy teenage girl with no life that only wants to play video games and omg if I cant I'm going to /wrist.

And now at the back of a 4,155 queue. Great no WOW for my tonight then

Your rant sounds even more childish than those who are moaning about not being able to log, into the game they have paid for.

Everyone is entitled to complain if they aren't recieving the service they have paid for.

When it does work, the expansion is very nicely done, and far more enjoyable than MoP ever was or will be. I even think Garrisons will be quite cool, even if they will ruin Cities.

delete/rename your WTF folder, try again, if this happened less than 15m ago, you will jump to the front
