***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

I have decided to go hunter for WOD, currently just started Jade Forest but the often thousands of people queuing ahead of me have slowed me down quite a bit.

Hoping to be 100 by the end of the week but really, it could take any amount of time.

Just hit 100, played about 20 hours over past 2 days so I went ham. Working on 1st part of my legendary ring and then gonna grind out BGs and stuff for PvP gear whilst I wait for a group for PvE

I'm also playing as Holy Priest. It's hard in heroics no doubt about it but I'd rather it be like that than MoP heroics.

I found it much easier after swapping out some talents and picked up Word of Mending, Cascade and Surge of Light (in place of Saving Grace, Divine Star and Mind Bender). iLvl is 617 atm but was bang on 610 for the heroics.

I find swapping to Chakra: Sanctuary and dropping Sanctuary, PoH, CoH then back into Serenity works well for group healing.

Instant Flash from Surge of Light along with Binding Heal (stacks Serendipity for buffed and hasted Heal) and instant/free PoMs from Divine Insight and Words of Mending make it much easier to keep up with the damage.

Just don't be scared to leave people at 50% or lower

Very similar setup to me then and same approach it seems. I'm only doing normals at the moment and the railway one was just brutal to heal as everyone kept getting massive amounts of damage, forcing me to focus heal them instead of the tank, who then got dangerously low....

Dont be afrai to be vocal at people... if people are stood in flames, tell them to move or die - it is the only way some people will learn.

....Which rolls me onto this point too, as the groups I've been with so far haven't listened. I had a tank earlier who kept chain pulling even though I said I wanted a mana break numerous times. He then came out with "I'll bet you 10 euro you don't go oom", yet I went oom on the run up to the last boss and then had no break before he pulled him (20% mana tops). We managed to kill it, just, yet 2 dps were dead due to the simple fact I didn't have the mana to spare for them.

I had another similar experience with DPS just standing in stuff, like the storm ability in skyguard. It hits for 50k and then has a very heavy tick on it, so if you just stand there like a plank, you WILL die unless I blow cooldowns and focus on you, which isn't going to happen if you don't even attempt to move. Seems that some players are still in MOP/cata mode when it comes to just chain pulling and aoe'ing their way through content which simply isn't designed for it.

Hell, it reminds me more and more of TBC the more I think about it. Holy priest had a very similar amount of spells and healing output options in TBC and mana was an issue until basically full epic gear, especially on heroics and karazhan.

I might do the same. Sorted out the first part of my ring (so have the 640 epic one for healing) and haven't started on the other parts yet. Shouldn't be too hard though as basically a week of doing the apexis crystal daily in the garrison will sort out the "longest" part of it, with the rest just being drop stuff in dungeons I think.

Grimrail is pretty tough on normal if people don't know what they are doing. tbh a lot of the time thats the problem, tanks and DPS that don't know the fights yet so stand in all the wrong places etc.

I've taken to just letting some people die if they stand in something blatant. On the chain pulling tanks, so annoying! They must still think it's MoP with the infinite mana pool.

Also it might be worth convincing people to start CCing again, at least 1 mob per pack seems to make a huge difference on heroic.

The beauty of TBC was that people were patient and people used crowd control spells - The Cata/MoP AOE chain pulling "ethos" is still ingrained into some people unfortunately (Personally I would prefer instance trash to be fewer and harder so that you had to use crowd control).

40min queue for DPS last night :( Was horrible.

I am up to ilvl 618 bit more to go, no warforged drops yet.

I did a 50 something minute queue for Skyreach because I needed the quest, the healer left after the third boss because they didn't wanna do the wind maze, then the tank died in it and rage quit, then the group fell apart :(

For those having issues getting in due to queues why not just move server? The way wow is these days you do not even need to be on the same server as friends to play with them and the only real reason to stay somewhere is the AH.

CoA has been perfect since Saturday morning. Currently 97 and about 2 bars away from 98 playing a warrior in tank spec. I have also found people seem to forget they need to move and the group will wipe as the healer is frantically trying to heal everyone instead of just me.

I hit 100 yesterday morning. I'm personally considering moving servers but not 100% yet. I want a decent mythic raid guild so that's the real problem.

As a tank the level 100 dungeons certainly do a ton of damage, only at 609 I level so its probably that but its certainly challenging to stay alive at times.

A lot of dungeons rely on avoidable damage (1/2 shot) once you figure that out its a lot easier for the healer to focus on the tank. But poorly geared healers will struggle for the moment. God knows what HC is like.

Ive noticed COA has been pretty much lag free since Saturday morning aswell :) Just into 97 myself and playing through Spires of Arak at the moment, 3rd q hub in I think. Terador (?) is probably my fav zone so far - had some real fun trying to place where I would be if I was in Terrorkar in Outlands :D

Really liking it from what Ive seen at the moment - not sure there will be much replayablity mind you but as there will be a new expansion in a year (ha) I think I might be alright just concentrating on the horde hunter and then play some alliance mage in a month or 2.

I've also noticed that peeps dont move from AoE effects etc, but its the same every expansion as they get used to facerolling and letting healers cope - expect damage and the like to be 'tuned' as Blizz crumbles to the whiners.

Currently Level 66 1/2 and i have decided to go Protection warrior. Just for the fact the ques took ages as dps, I was fury dps and now i find that my proctetion spec seems to be doing more damage :S. Looking forward to getting back on it tonight like and get some pratice with the dungons.

Levelling as a tank is always easy I feel... You just mass pull mobs and AoE them down (not to mention the short queue times for LFD).

I've found fury/arms are very gear dependent and with lower gear you get better damage using tank spec. Plus you get a huge buff to survive-ability. I haven't tried the gladiator trait yet but that certainly seems interesting offensive tank.

So far I have done the first zone, Garador (sp?) and am half way through Terador
and Have just met the Arakoa
so I have plenty left to do. I am really enjoying this expansion so far apart from 1 thing. Auchindoun can suck my ****, Don't know why I just hate that instance already.

Picked up a toy last night, from one of the 'rare' Demons in Terador - Last memories or something and anyway it gives a brief exchange between 2 people

Kil'Jaeden and someone else, cant remember who unfortuantely, but obviously KJ is alive and well in this timeline/alternate Universe. Sooo, will we be facing off against him again and will the next expac be a continuation of this version of Draenor or will we be going to our own 'world'??!

At least its quick! Personally found Iron Docks to be pretty dull, although the last boss had some interesting mechanics (possibly the best boss so far imo)

Looking forward to getting some decent, uninterupted game time tonight, bring on the 100!

It is just the final boss that annoys me, I dislike having to do 3/4 mini bosses before doing the actual boss.... and the fact that people cannot seem to get their head around the idea of standing behind the shield on the first boss and in the null zone on the second boss.
