World War Z

just back from watching it, I really enjoyed it.. good action, liked the zombies, canny story, one of the better zombies movies I've seen. Never liked the resident evil movies..

I thought it would have made a much better TV series than the Walking dead does..

It might be the case of not knowing the book for comparison, but watched this last night and thought it was great, I can only echo the above posters sentiments.

I was initially concerned about the 15 rating, as I am a gore fan, but it showed you don't actually need the gory 'money shot' to achieve the same effect, back to the old school of using your imagination!

I've been to the cinema twice in the last week. First to see Man of Steel and just got back from seeing this. Thought this was miles better, had me on the edge of my seat after the first 5 minutes and constantly had me second guessing what was going to happen.

I'm no great fan of zombie movies but I thought this was a great movie. Man of Steel on the other hand had me disappointed and quite bored.

Watched this today, people were saying that it wasn't that great so I lowered my expectations but still massively disappointed.

There was so much potential that was lost. The biggest thing to hurt this film was the lack of gore and horror, it's a zombie film for Christ sake!!! If in the first attack scene there was body parts and blood flying everywhere as well then it would have made the rest of the film tense and un-nerving. (much like the Dawn of the dead remake)

They should have shown much more of ground army fighting and losing against the tide of zombies (battle of Yonkers would have been an ideal scene)

Not saying it was a bad movie, but just so average with no gore. I won't bother seeing it again TBH

Dawn of the Dead remake still remains the best zombie movie ever made

Seen the movie last night it was alright more like a global adventure than zombie flick.

As for peoples problem with the 4 prop aircraft from an aircraft carrier

It can be done (USS Forrestal)

I take my comment back then. Thanks for showing me this, didn't know it was possible.;)

It was alright although I agree, the ending scenes really dragged on.

Loved it when the captain said they were on their way to Cardiff, the entire audience was in stitches

Went to see it last night and thought it was ok but as said before it would have suited a TV show better. The way that the story was compartmentalised it would have made sense. I don't mind fast moving zombies but millions of them takes away the horror aspect.

Saw this on Saturday...

I've not read the book so had no idea what to expect but I thought it was mediocre at best. It never seemed to settle down properly, in my opinion, and gave me the impression that they had missed great chunks of the story for the sake of making a movie.

5/10

another thing that urked me was;

Another thing (im really picking holes now) how did the buses and refugees get into the tunnels that lead into the fortress Isreal?

Yes, I thought that too... :p

Went to see it yesterday, there were some kids(12 or 13 year olds- not sure how they got in being its a 15 rated film) in the raw in front of mine. It was highly amusing to watch them cringe in fear - covering their faces with the jackets/hands :)
They were talking so much and jumpy by the middle of the movie - so I had to tap on the shoulder of one of them to ask them to be quiet, I don't exactly remember which scene it was but I couldn't have picked a more tense scene :D They all jumped up from their seats screaming :D
They left soon after :D:D

I enjoyed it but there were too many niggles with it

It was a bit to compartmentalised and unrealistic

found it a bit tedious how pitt survived every separate scene while everyone else died!
Bit silly with people bumping into multiple things in Cardiff.. I mean really
Generally there was a lot of retardedness with people making noise.
And yes, how did the survivors get through the gate

Overall it was worth seeing, good concept, could have easily been better executed
