Worst Game Ending?

Thought Fallout 3 had a pretty bad ending

I didn't think it was terrible per se but the original Fallout's ending was a hundred times better. The actual ending was great but so was the end credits. It was fantastic hearing how you had influenced the world around you. It made me feel part of that world, like a real hero.

Fallout 3 was simply generic. :(

Quake IV ending was terrible. **** easy boss fight followed by a 'sequel incoming' cinematic :(.
Fear 2 ending was just a bit 'WTF?' for me as I haven't played the first one.

double dragon. you and your brother fight tooth and nail to save the girl and when you both get there...... instead of sharing the spoils you're forced to fight each other to the death.... very sad :(

PMSL, i remember completing this in an arcade on Scarborough sea front, as me and my m8 suddenly realised what came next he moved away from me as he had his back to me and fell off the roof!

lol

it's a savage ending to a game making two brothers turn on each other

Drakensang - major spoilers if i described it, but it lasts about 10 seconds. Compared to the game which lasted over 70 hours up to that point.

tbh I seem to have banished games with bad endings from my mind lol

Deus Ex IW was pretty rubbish but I saw it as more a tribute to deus ex than a game in the same class.

Quake II I wouldn't class as a bad ending it was about par for the course back then.

I know I've played some games with really terrible endings but try as I might I seem to have erased all memory of them lol.

Fallout3, simply because when the main quest is done it takes you back to the title screen. wtf?!
This is a huge problem and it makes me wonder if the game actually got tested past Alpha testing it was that bad!

The EXACT same issue applies to Farcry 2.

I remember the days of awesome endings, like Starcraft
Starcraft cutscenes were boss.

XIII needs a sequal, the ending was a cliff hanger that has never been explained
The ending wasn't just a cliff hanger, it was an utter **** tease. You'd spent the entire game remembering who you were and who the people you were going after were, you track down the big boss in charge of the entire operation, fight your way through his legions of minions, and... get yourself locked in a store room. End game, roll credits, promise sequel that will never be made.

Livid I was. Where's my final boss fight dammit.

Was trying to think of 1 and then cod2 came into mind, it was a truly bad ending, but then again its not as if it had a lot of story to it.
