Worst Game Ending?

Fallout 3 was pretty terrible. Hey lets introduce a mechanic that mutants are immune to radiation, but hey lets take it away again an hour later.

The dev team also lied about multiple endings. The original 2 fallout games had like 3 short cutscene clips per each location u visited so u ended up finding out what happened to every place you visited as a result of your actions. Even things you thought were positive may have not been in the long term once you left.

Fallout 3 has 6 slightly different endings, which all look the same just change like 3 sentences of dialogue.

That ending ****ed me off so much lol.

halo 2
far cry 2 (yes I did complete it)
crysis (love the game but the ending is crap, although it's s a trilogy so it's not so bad)
Assasins Creed (again a trilogy so...)

When did they take it away? It's possible I've just forgotten.

When you meet the smart mutant he goes and gets an item for you so you don't have to enter the radiation. If you have him (or the ghoul or the robot) in your party at the very end they won't enter the chamber, saying something stupid. So instead of nobody dying and a mutant simply soaking up the radiation, you or the female paladin HAVE TO DIE. Makes no sense, very very annoying.

In the fallout universe to remove choices was rediculously and the whole thing felt rushed and well retarded.

Neverwinter Nights 2, I was in a bad mood for days because of that ending. Expansion pack desperatly tried to stick a plaster over that travesty but there was no excuse for it.

A lot of games have fairly disappointing endings though. There are only a handful of games I can honestly say I walked away from satisfied.

Salamander.

Took me months to actually finish as I'm crap at shoot-em-ups and it just went back to bloody level 1, just a bit harder.

Gutted..!!

I later learned thats all it did.

Playing deus ex for the first time really soaking up the atmosphere and being careful in all my choices.

Only to realise that nothing before the last 10 minutes of the game actually counted.

Uh what

It counted in that you were playing through the story. If you just played the last 10 minutes then you'd miss out on a fair bit of story. It's about the experience, not just the ending.
