OCUK must not understand their customer base too well if they thought this crap would be the preferred method of getting an honest impartial review on new products. Because the first port of call for the lowdown on new components and peripherals is loud YouTube "gamer girls" who do very little reviewing, but seem to spend a lot of time making noises and generally flaunting themselves.

Perhaps find a well respected and established forum member to give a proper review would be a better option.
 
I'm a geek because of my interest in this gear. I dont need a good looking woman to sell it to me (hint, pictures superimposed on photos of monitors) or review it for me. I'd rather somebody who was actually interested in the stuff they're reviewing.

Sounds like most people feel the same way.

Just spent some time looking through her various builds and I'd agree Lauren would be a much better bet for actual "reviews" of kit from OcUK - at least she's in the UK to begin with :p ;)

Oh and she has a few more subs now I'm sure :)

Just noticed that in one of Laurens (TastyPCTV) videos she has an OcUK mousemat box on the shelf behind her so who knows she may even have an account and post here :o

Jesus this screams of desperation. Getting some girl playing on her looks to review a product, she probably doesn't need, use or care about, what is this Nuts Magazine.
You'd have to be a real sado to fall for that. Fire your marketing department promptly.

Nice girl and all but for "review" purposes, just no, maybe look closer to home where there are plenty of people capable of writing up/recording good reviews? But this means you will probably have to settle for a guy, which I guess is no good in the end, right?

It reminds me of those ocuk trade show displays with the half naked young girls holding shiny tech., oh and lets not forget the monitor pictures a few years ago, you would get a warning for posting some of those promo photos on this forum... Not as bad but still...

Can't say that I'm surprised to see a tech/computer company wanting to give a hot looking youtuber girl free stuff though, at the end of the day, it gets them lots of advertising.

Just a shame that people who can actually do well written up or even video reviews don't get the same level of attention as all these hot gamer girls.
 
I'm sure she's nice in real life etc, but I don't think she makes a good reviewer.

I'd rather see someone from the UK given the glorious job of reviewing stuff on youtube - male or female. I also value charisma over face-value looks when it comes to actual review content, because I can't take these kinds of reviews seriously (like the one in the OP).

At least it looks like I am not alone in thinking this!
 
Yeah it's not for me.

Good luck to her but i'll stick with less eye candy and more substantial reviews if I am considering a new purchase.

Good luck to her though, I'm sure the teenage nerdy boy demographic will enjoy it.
 
After more though, and nothing against that girl, i don't think it's a good choice for sending goods for review.

Don't OcUK still use the TACKY AS HELL pictures of ladies in the monitors section??!

Edit: nope, seems they dont. Much better.

Not sure I'd say desperate, but poor judgement for sure.

The internet is full of porn. We come to sites like this for actual information on tech. Not "bewbs". We all know where the "bewbs" live.
 
The main product in the video was the girls performance for the camera.

Wouldn't even think to click a playful/flirty girls entertainment video if I cared about the hardware supposedly being reviewed in it.

Give me an average looking guy with a clear voice talking through the item for 20 mins any day.

Actually, not against a female reviewer but for the love of god dress, make up and behave as if you are presenting a product not BEING the product.

Maybe embarrassing is a better word, I almost feel insulted that they think we're that dumb and I'm not even one for watching reviews or buying chairs so I don't even have a reason to feel like that. Lol
 
That video is utter gash....

It amazes me how these people get an audience...

Its indirect grooming if you ask me...I bet if you analysed her audience data it would flag up loads of 13-15 year old boys fantasising about her...

And ******* off in front of their computer screens :p

Makes me feel sad for the future :(
