dont feign interest and say you "might be out" too passive. Get her number, dont give yours, and do something positive together (without knowing your age that could be a drink, coffe, or a meal or similar.
GO for it son, you've absolutely NOTHING to lose. You'll feel nervous as hell at the time, but jump in! Been there, and done it. It doesnt get easier with age, only practise
