Would you go to a theme park on your own?

Weirdo mode engaged

Had a fantastic time! Spoke to loads of people that definitely wouldn't have approached me if I was with family etc.

Walking as fast as I like, going on whatever rides I like, as many times as I like.

Smiler and Oblivion were brilliant. Thirteen was good as I didn't know about the 'surprise'.

Would recommend.

Last time I went to Alton Towers it was quiet and we went on Oblivion 7 times in a row since there was no queues at all, good day out.

I went to a theme park for a work trip with one colleague who also happens to be one of my best friends, for a consultation project we were offering help on. We finished the day early and proceeded to have a great afternoon! I don't see why going on your own should be seen as odd - you're only here once, do what what makes you feel good!

Just a heads-up for anyone that doesn’t know, but the ‘current’ iteration of Nemesis at Alton Towers is closing on 6 November this year for a retrack - it’ll reopen with renewed aesthetics and sand-filled supports in 2024, so it’ll never sound or possibly look the same again (a big deal for the coaster dweebs like me).

What do sand-filled supports change?
