WOW Cata re-roller guild interest

Hi guys I have read Ur post and I think it's great wat use ar doin I am playing wow over 3 years and I just wanna wish use the best of luck in Ur new wow approach and want to ask how Ur guild is going atm with hc's and raids and stuff.

At the moment the guild is active in heroics but not in raids yet, thats a few weeks away yet as everyone finishes capping out.
 
After 18 months of not playing the missus has convinced me to use the 10 day Cata free trial that was on our battle.net accounts.

Currently rerolled a goblin Rogue and am level 12. Really liking the new starting zone. Is the guild still really casual friendly? The missus and I dont play often, and also tend to just quest rather than hit the dungeons (she gets bored quickly and cant sit through a whole instance :) ) but it would be nice to be in a friendly guild with no pressure..

My char is "Wiloughby" and hers is "Bristol".

Yeah mate. Our original aim was to be a social/levelling guild.

Whilst we will be moving into raiding the social element will remain a key facet of our guild. I for one won't be raiding often (if at all) and if im guild leader and social I will be making sure there is a social side :p:D Honestly though there is always a good and fun atmosphere in guild and there will be support and activities for social/more relaxed players!

We won't be able to get you in guild if you are still on trial accounts, but when you got full account or if you already are, whisper an officer for an invite. Im away until xmas day/boxing day with work but try whispering the following people.

They are the other officers and they will sort you with an invite as soon as they see you. Just keep bumping us to get you invited if you dont see officers online!

Sweet thanks guys. I didn't realise you couldn't join a guild if you were on a trial. Perhaps I should shell out for the full thing sooner rather than later!

Ill have a look at sorting that in the next day or two.
 
casual is pretty good, we have an alt levelling night (currently on a xmas break) which is a character only levelled 2 hours a week during the designated time. Theres TS, the occassonal guild run through an instance, generally quite fun. My goblin rogue (there are a lot of us about judging by pvp - im guessing its something to do with the stature!) is 23 at the mo and thats just playing a couple of hours here and there. So very casual, very relaxed. Of course theres some serious types who are gearing up the raiding stuff but no pressure whatsoever. fun.
 
gonna level just through instances........warlocks are just far too easy in the questing to play.........im literally falling asleep at my screen :o

I see you guys appear to be doing quite well for yourselves. I'm interested in re-rolling to Horde after having played on Alliance for around 3-4 years (Dentarg/Neputlon). I'd like to play a Troll Shaman as I'm interested in a Melee/Spellcasting hybrid and wouldn't mind switching between DPS and Healing in end-game content. Are you still looking for people?

Did you say shaman healer?!??!? Of course we are :p

seriously though we are still open for all recruits. Just re-roll across and hunt down an officer for an invite.

my friend and missus where online when some rather unsavoury language and topics of a sexual nature where being talked about.........please remember we do have lady guild members.........although i think one of them wont be returning now because of it. :(
 
I've pulled one or two people up on being overly crass, but a bit of bad language and risqué chat are to be expected. Without officially speaking on behalf of the guild, I'd say that we're not going to be censoring guild chat, but I'm sure the other officers will also take steps if crudity is taken too far.

For those looking to join us, you can also /join ocuk to get onto the world chat channel and grab the attention of guildies there. Also, don't forget to sign up on the Ban's Hammer forums for news, events and info.

Mail me to my private account on the guild website with the details of what happened and those involved and I will deal with it when I am home over Xmas. I can hazard a guess as to those involved but i will wait to hear off you.

I'd guess at it being me, i use bad language all the time, of course always in a joking manner, never abusive.. not to guildies at least.

There is a mature chat filter you can use in the Interface Menu, i'd suggest that.. i allllso think you can download a chat mod in which you can edit out words you dont want to see. Chatter i think its called.
 
Mmmm I would not like to see the heavy censoring of guild chat. I do think there are boundaries - racist, sexist, really over the top vulgar stuff (which may have been the case here), and something may need to be done if that did happen, all I would say is that when determining what the standard is, I dont think we should put the bar at the most easily offended. I dont think we should be cesnoring swear words for instance, which some may find offensive but which there is an in game capability to filter as pointed out.

There is a certain amount of banter that goes on and I would suggest a general warning on the message of the day to keep it clean and a forum post would be the best approach. Just a suggestion.
 
Racist shouldn't be seen at all imo

sexist remarks (to an extent) are just banter.. from what i've seen in guild chat at least... we have a token girl so she's paying the price!!! :D

Language filter for everything else... if it gets that bad, /ignore and have a word with an officer.
