WP8.1

What the hell does this mean

Lumia 1320 Country variant 3058.50000.1424.0002 Not applicable Available Availability

Never seen that before, always been under testing, coming soon or available.

Also how do you go from developer preview to the normal version.

Nokia Software Recovery Tool will remove it.

But it will wipe the phone.

However MS are rolling out updates that will push Cyan to the Developer Preview Phones. So I would personally keep preview status.

Then it will update to the latest with Cortana UK. As they fixed the bug blocking the update. If the update is not yet available wait a while whilst MS roll it out to all servers.

What are the changes to IE?

Notes I've seen are updated Music live tile, Cortana beta & Folders.

The Music live tile doesn't appear to be included. Well, its not working for me at least.

I'm guessing there will be an app update for Music shortly

Cortana UK is very basic at the moment, it has no personality. It can't even tell me who Clippy is.

How's her accent? Does she sound like she's talking down, i.e. Here Drive Female UK voice.

Not bad at times. She sounds more friendly in some instances, then quite roboty / depressed in others.

The voice renegotiation is very good for me at-least.

I'm getting an error that says it cant update.

It downloads, prep installs then restart... Then nothing. It says might be a temporary error, asking me to try again. Done it twice now.

Cortana has her personality back now :)

Still waiting on o2 updating the Lumia 920....not entirely sure what's taking so long seeing as they already have 8.1 devices on their network.
