Check your Language pack, is it set to UK?
Check your Region, is it set to UK?

Then restart.

Exactly the same thing when DP was released and everyone wanted Cortana had to change to US English (language pack) and Region. So despite I'm in the UK, I had US Cortana, so your actual location isn't a problem.
 
Are there any communities or groups that port ios apps to windows phone?

I'm after two specific apps that would complete my experience so would be interesting to see. One is a shiftworker app and the other would be the remote heating control app for british gas.

I have a BT button, it's a Belkin in-line to AUX, so this maybe useful for me when I get my new car next month, where it's got a car connection via BT.

I love using Cortana in car, calling, sending text and making notes whilst driving at a push/hold of a button. Probably look like a weirdo talking in his car...

e: Oh and I got the UK update after using the Nokia Recovery Tool. That error was annoying so I spend the last 5 hours doing it. Now to tidy up my new layout with folders!
 
Is my thumb too big or something, anyone finding it tricky putting tiles into folders without it turning into a Benny Hill sketch?
 
Question for the W8.1 users.

Is it possible to set time profiles for different things.

For example I work on call 1 week in 4 and on this week I need the phone to ring but emails to not make a noise only between the hours of 11pm and 8am. This is because we get a lot of rubbish emails in and accept out of hours requests by email until 11pm but then only by phone after 11pm.

Is this possible?

On Android I use Light Flow Lite to achieve this.
 
You can set "quiet hours" to a specific time / immediately via Cortana.

This however means you need your contacts on inner circle to be able to call in during those hours (or they have to ring twice within 30s to get through).

I personally would just drag down notification, turn off sound for emails during my 'our of hours' via banner. To have it automated, I don't believe it's possible to that level of control.

Someone might think of a clever strategy to do what you want with what's available. Hopefully.
 
Is the live tile for the Store refusing to work for anyone else? Mine doesn't seem to update at all despite being enabled in the Store settings.

I've tried numerous things like disable it, turn off data connections, re-booting and enabling it again but to no avail.

Not a biggie but would like to see it working!
