It's not an o2 phone though is it? As the update isn't showing it must be a country variant one, ie unbranded.

Anyone ever get issues with the date and time being set incorrectly? seems to just sometimes lose it completely! I have it set to automatic but I've just changed it to manual.

I've stopped using automatic when Orange keeps setting the time 5 minutes behind everyone else. You're not with EE by any chance?

Yeah, I'm with EE.

Does the phone get the time from the network then? I always thought it would be from Microsoft servers, like on Windows.

It's been like that since I got back to WP with the Lumia 800. I assume it is from Network as if you roam, the time and date changes.

I'm hoping someone is in the know re flashing Windows Phone. For one reason or another my brother would like his recently updated Lumia 925 back to WP8.0, it's a Vodafone branded 925 and was one of the first to get the official WP8.1 and Cyan updates.

I've installed the Nokia Software Recovery Tool and all it is saying is available for his model/product code is the software version that is already on his 925, I presume this is WP8.1 + Cyan.

Versions:
On Phone in About - OS:8.10.12393.890 Firmware revision number:3051.50009.1424.0005
NOKIA SRT Offers: 3051.50009.1424.0005 (Same as on Phone)

So my question, is it at all possible to get it back to WP8.0 + Black?

Is it possible to turn off camera button when phone is locked?

Also has the developer preview got cyan yet?
And anyone got titbit app working? It was working, but since last developer preview update it doesn't, deleted it and now it won't even download. Or possibly as I changed region?

If you go to the Photos > Settings there is an option to "Press and hold camera button to wake up the phone"...

Thanks, also a prevent accidental unlock option as well.
Seems silly these settings aren't in the normal settings. But hey ho

How is 8.1 for things like G+ does it have a good app like the android version ?

Also things like twitter updates and facebook, back on WP7 it would not tell you it had any updates untill you looked as it did not support push, has that changed ?

Seriously considering changing to this come re-newel time.

Get the right phone and you'll have a fancy glance screen that'll show any notification you want even when the phones locked.

Google are deliberately not creating any apps for Windows Phone, so unless there is a decent 3rd party app then you'll be out of luck.

How do I get Cortana, removed the developer preview and stuck stock rom back on, it is a 8.1/cyan rom.
As far as I can tell language/region is set to uk.
