Just realised you can swipe in internet explorer to go back a page, but it doesn't seem very responsive.
I'm still bummed about about the changes to the hounds and removing the awesome Facebook and messenger features but dam this keyboard flies.

Facebook now needs an app, can't share directly, and annoyingly, refused to share my screenshot via in app. Does make it feel less 'smooth'.
And the Music hub. What the heck!? Where is my History and "New" albums list? Everytime I add a new album, I now need to scroll and find it in the full list (or tap letters, then scroll)

anyone finding their battery draining quicker since the update?
I am.
I have however turned off any apps I don't want running and updating in background via battery save. Will need a couple of days to evaluate as since getting unplugged at 7am today, I've restarted 4 times, thus battery now at 65% instead of the usual 75-85%.
It may take a few days to settle down, as like with any new phone.
I can see why they have adopted that method, as it means they can stream line the updates much quicker and also update the applications as and when.

Fair enough for the update, but they keep going backwards with Music Hub... We're losing feature with each progression... saving grace for me now is Cortana. Can't wait for it to be implimented for the UK region.

Lithium ion batteries are notoriously hard to gauge the current charge, the software has to learn the phone usage, give it a few days. I read somewhere that it's supposed to be much better.
GO to the new battery sense app.
In this you will see whats eating up battery life, but thats where you click on the app to turn off its background tasks.
After the install I found ALL of my app had the background task switched on as default, so had to go back and turn all the ones off I didnt care about.

thanks everyone, will give it a couple of days to settle.
one other thing, anyone know how to sync passwords from IE in windows to the WP8 browser (sure i read you could do this now)

After I entered a password into a form it asked me if I want to sync it (Im 99% sure it did)

You can only do that on AMOLED displays; not LCD.
Happened twice now:
When my touch screen stops working. Power button, turns the screen on, volume works. The bottom 3 button don't really do much in lock screen.
Can't scroll up to unlock, can't press 'snooze' when the reminder came up. Held power button for 10s, didn't restart. It however came back to "'live" after going crazy with the back button.
Not sure what I did. Bluetooth music, Cortana worked via Bluetooth, just can't get a reaction on my touch screen. Scared me a little... Only happened since update.
