Before you do that, turn off all data connections including wifi. Restart the phone, make sure all connections are still off, and then go to the email account. It can't sync without a data connection, allowing you to remove/modify it.
Turned off all the radios (Flight Mode), this allowed me to remove the account, Re-booted the phone, Put the account back, Set the Sync to 1 Hour... All works
Hopefully this will stop the inordinately large battery drain! (probly caused by constant syncing)

Ohh right, yea I guess thats possible, I suppose what I meant was the user experience was the exact same.
I personally havnt came across anything though.
Ohhh actually thinking about it, Nokia has been pretty much fine, its the other makers Samsung, Hyndiah ( cant remember the exact name) that have had problems.
