Anyone else having problems with Yahoo Mail on WP8.1??

Since updating to 8.1 on my wifes phone, it just sits there saying 'Syncing' and doesn't download any mail or Sync the Calendar!!

Looking under 'Email Accounts' it's greyed out so I can't check any problems!!

I've told the wife, if it persists till the weekend I'll downgrade her back to WP8

Nope, it's asked for the password a couple of times but that's it, working fine.

Try putting the password in again.

Delete it and add it anew.

Can't... it won't let me select it as it's 'Syncing' constantly and greyed out!!

Even in
Settings > email+accounts > long press on it > delete

Will it allow you to add it again without deleting it?

Yep!, It's greyed out in there with the words 'Syncing' under it (has been since the Update to 8.1 yesterday).

And if I try and add the account again, it just says "Account Already Exists"...

Have you tried restarting to get it out of the syncing it's stuck in.
Or even soft resetting.

Rebooted about 3 times last night!

How do you 'Soft Reset' a Lumia 620 (This is my Wife's Phone, I'm an Android numpty!!)

Volume down and power button together till it vibrates.

Nope, it's just like pulling the battery out. Saying that has the 620 got a removable battery.

It should give up trying to sync after a little while and just say error check settings.

Before you do that, turn off all data connections including wifi. Restart the phone, make sure all connections are still off, and then go to the email account. It can't sync without a data connection, allowing you to remove/modify it.

Yep!

Turned off all the radios (Flight Mode), this allowed me to remove the account, Re-booted the phone, Put the account back, Set the Sync to 1 Hour... All works

Hopefully this will stop the inordinately large battery drain! (probly caused by constant syncing)

Well I finally took the plunge and ordered a Lumia 1520. Will be here tomorrow. Went for white.

Think first order of business will be to install 8.1.

What are peoples experiences using 8.1 on the 1520, any issues?

Its be the exact same experience ( only bigger lol) as anyone else, thats the handy thing about this update, it was made for the cheapest handset up.

Fair enough. Kinda meant any 1520 specific issues as I read somewhere some handsets had the odd issue or two?

Ohh right, yea I guess thats possible, I suppose what I meant was the user experience was the exact same.

I personally havnt came across anything though.

Ohhh actually thinking about it, Nokia has been pretty much fine, its the other makers Samsung, Hyndiah ( cant remember the exact name) that have had problems.
