Yeah ive had this before a few times. Works on incoming messages too so if someone texts you say.
Do you want to come to a bbq on saturday you can tap it and it will set up a reminder/event for it.
 
New Spotify app is awesome! An update at last..!

My battery life seems better since the latest update, at about 22:00 I'm at around 20-30%.

All phones should have 3400mah batteries. Granted haven't used it much but still. WiFi, glance and Bluetooth are left on permantley. A bit of web browsing. Last charged 06:18 yesterday. Estimated time left 18h41m.

The update has improved it a fair bit.

Have you tried clocking the check for update.
I'm also assuming you are running wp8.1, if you aren't then you wont see any update.

You either get the WP8.1 Developer Preview (very easy) or you'll have to wait patiently - should be in the wild... soon. The update was for WP8.1, definitely got the battery life back to how it was.
 
The features in 8.1 have been cleared from suggestion voting thing.
I'm struggling to think of anything to add.
Got my quick access to tethering, ie11 improvements and Xbox videos.

About the only thing I can think of is picture password like w8.

Improvements to bing map app would be good as well.

These are about the only ones I can see, if anyone sees or thinks of anything else good, I have some votes left.

The update came last week, I had to check it via updates.

As for Cortana, it's not released for anywhere but the US region till WP8.1 goes wild - UK and a few others will then get it, all staggered to give 'best experience'.

You'll need to change region and language to US English. Your keyboard can still be UK English, just that it'll make your phone US e.g. Marketplace will be in USD. Not a biggie as I've got the apps I want and only get free apps now. If I really need UK apps / pay in GBP, I switch to UK, restart, install, change region back, restart and Cortana is back.

Really love using Cortana, in car, even when in office, I can swipe remind me blah blah blah blah tomorrow noon.

90% of the time it's accurate when voiced, an almost 99% spot on when typed - I type when in office as I don't want to sound like a tit with American accent :p
 
So now that I'm on 8.1 via the developer preview, when the live update goes out can I switch back or am I stuck with the dev preview? Is that even a bad thing?
 
Think you switch your region back to Uk, update as normal via settings and all will be fine, also it will come with the Nokia Cyan update.
 
First time ever for any phone I've owned, my Nokia Satnav directions have been routed through my car audio system.

Might be my Fiat system is not great, but it was a surprise to get turn by turn over the speakers. :)

Not sure if it was a change in 8.1 or the fact I recently swapped to a 925.

I also admit I have the find my car function pinned to the start.
