So im currently on a 1.3vcore 100x45 = 4.5ghz at the moment at ~35 degrees C which is rock solid stable for a few hours of titanfall with 2400XMP on the memory.

I guess now its time to start upping the BCLK a notch at a time until unstable and then up the vcore.

its a 4930k, so what should I be aiming for max vcore for 24/7 use?

about 1.35v for 24/7 use, you only up the blcock if your planning on clocking on the 125 strap,

How did your clocking go? Is it worth uping the strap to 125 and reducing the multi.

I just loaded the inbuilt asus "watercooled gamers profile" and nearly fell off my chair when it whacked the vcore upto 1.7.

Are they insane?

So currently at:

4.5ghz stable
125 BCLK
125 Strap
1.320 vcore
Dram CHAB 1.650v
Dram CHCD 1.650v
2000mhz ram freq (though will admit having 8 sticks of 4gb is hurting my ability to push it further)
CPU VCCSA 1.0
CPU PLL 1.8
CPU VTT 1.1
CPU LLC set to medium

I'm sure I could quite easily push more for this chip but think those are fair numbers for daily use?

Yup! don't expect miracles by clocking using the strap. You'll still reach more or less the same maximum clocks your reaching now needing similar volts.

^ That.
I used the strap as it gave different memory multipliers and worked out better for the memory i had at the time, also allowed a slightly higher *maximum* clock for bench runs on the bot. 5.2ghz iirc :)
