Xbox 360 Keyboard and Mouse..?

Having played many years of fps with a keyboard and mouse and now getting an xbox360 i wondered if anyone on here had the adaptor thats available and run it for these fps type games?

There appears to be two main types, can anyone suggest one?

The adapter your looking for is called a joypad

Your brain will work out what to do with it soon enough

(I'd also put on some flame retardant clothing)

All the adaptors are crap apart from the xim2 which runs through a pc and is very close to a mouse and keyboard on PC. However they have currently stopped producing them due to a change to the PCB in the xbox pads. They are now working on the xim3 which will not require a pc just updates via firmware.

I looked into it a lot for one of my mates but a set of FPS Freeks sorted out his pad woes.

I currently use a Medion wireless keyboard/mouse combo with my X360...works perfectly fine....

nope....just plugged the USB wireless receiver into my Xbox 360, and it just worked straight off.

No hacking, nothing....

USB receiver is obviously needed as there is no other way to connect it otherwise. Not tried other wireless keyboards as I only have this one which was a cheap £15 from one of the german high street supermarkets....

So you have full mouse & kb support in all games ?

How does it know which button is reload , shoot etc ?

Watching those videos made me realise just how unfair these things are, they provide an enormous advantage when everyone else is using a pad :eek:

Yeah that adaptor is pretty/very unfair. While there's a lot more to being a good FPS player then raw aim someone decent would be pretty sick on these.

to be perfectly honest, I actually only use the wireless keyboard for typing text on forza when I'm saving stuff....

I don't dig FPS games....more of a driving person.

Keyboards work on 360 (only for text) mice don't. Somehow thought you might be wrong

Control pads are such a backwards step, it makes you wonder why they use them. I suppose it's so you can veg out on the sofa and it's not too complicated.

If you're going to use a keyboard and mouse, you may as well stay on pc. Consoles have been using controllers since the very start, so there's no reason to start using anything else now. Just learn to use a controller and it'll become second nature in time.
