xbox dashboard update.

Well when comparing games and played games the Demos and Arcade Trials are still in there.... YAY...

Theyve just made things harder to find, this update is "MEH"

2. You can demux a .mkv to separate video and audio files, then convert the audio if required, then remux to mkv and then convert to mp4. Or just use Videoras "MKV Passthrough" mode which does it all for you in about 5 minutes :)

1. Yes (just done it) but my PC is sooooo slow it wasn't worth it.
2. No idea - I don't even know what you're talking about. Demux? Are you mad?

Maybe because most stuff is still in SD? ;)

Define "most stuff" ;)

The shows I watch regularly, Heroes, Prison Break, Lost etc are all available in HD, as are the last few films I err...bought ;) - Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek 3, Ratatouille, Superbad and Chuck and Larry...all 720p/1080p :)

I really can't be waiting around for a HD.

SD is fine for me.

The update seems ok, its quicker.

Anyone downloaded an Original yet?

Josh

As in the majority of films and Tv shows from the last 20/30 years ;)

Not everyone is watching newly released/re-released HD content

They should be though - I think most folk have HD ready TV sets now, and an xbox sitting under it, meaning they can watch HD if they want. Add something like a HomePlug (network over power device) and you've got all you need! After watching a lot of stuff in HD it's difficult for me to watch SD stuff on a big telly again :)

I too was a stickler for SD until I experienced a few films/trailers in HD off the Xbox Live Marketplace. Since moving to HD I haven't looked back and have two HD players atm.

Although on upscaling players, even SD content via DVD's look almost close to HD when upscaled.

Holy Sweepingstatement Batman!

I haven't got HD, my brother hasn't got HD (both 360 owners) and a lot of my other friends haven't. Unfortunately, a lot of people (working before anyone says anything) don't have the money for HD :(

Aye, I know more people with 360s who don't have a HD TV than those that do.

Remember, we are on a techy forum so we are bound to be more in touch with HD stuff than the average 360 owner.
