**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

See above. If you are going to fake it, which they all do. Don't bang on about how snappy your system is when in real life it's no where near snappy yet. If the dev team can't get that running faster by E3 they are going to be torn apart by the press.

Microsoft are apparently trying to make a deal with Sky to sell Xb1 at a reduced price with Sky Subscriptions.

LOL, I can picture the conversations on the Sky sales line..

Cust - "So why do I need a sky box, if your supplying the Xbox One - All in one device?"

Rep - "Well, its because, erm, you still need the Sky box to get sky. The Xbox One can't get Sky on its own..."

Cust - "Erm Ok, so why do I need the Xbox One - All in one device for Sky then?"

It would have to be like these mobile phone contracts where you get a "free" tablet etc. At the moment the 1tb Skybox is more useful to people on sky. I can't see how it could be substadised enough to work well. On the other hand you have people like myself who is likely to buy a XO at some time during its life cycle and also has Sky. So if a deal is to be made it might help get one under my tv quicker. It would be a good move with no real negatives for MS.

History re-run. If true and they down-clock to dismiss manufacturing issues that puts the console at 900Gigaflops, making the PS4 50% more powerful.

That would surely go along way to telling the difference in quality between multi platform games

But like you say, you have an existing Sky contract. The Xbox One subsidised contract might only apply to new customers initially. You know what Sky and Virgin are like for screwing over existing customers.

Yeah I know what you mean there lol. But with a few phone calls and maybe a month without Sky I think I'd get some kind of deal out of them. I have tv and fibre with them so they tend to send deals through the post when you call their bluff. Guess we will see, I think it's more a case of MS getting boxes under people's tv's then making the profit on services and games. No real negatives for them with a deal like this, every little helps.

Where will you plug the telephone line in to the Xbone? :p Will it then be a dog and Xbone?

lol

Watch the movie on gametrailers about neogaf, tis a great watch and you'll see the relationship between people in the industry and the members of NeoGaf.

Seems like PC + PS4 will still be the best combination of gear to have. :p Titanfall as it's called is for PC, Xbox 360 and Xbone.

It looks ok, but it's still missing so many features and effects that newer engines have.

We will see this a lot I think this year, all the new next-genish engines won't be used as games will be released on 2 gens at once, so they will stick with the older engines for one more year. Maximise the target audiance.
