**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Not a hope in hell, it's an expensive mediocre speced PC that ties you into Steam...

Whereas the Xbox One is a low spec PC media box that makes you pay fees after fees after fees for an inferior to PC gaming experience, yay !!

The new Xbox One summarized,

Pay for your game, pay again to play your game online, pay again to install your game again on another account. If you sell your game the lucky buyer will pay to play the game again..

Microsoft wins.

This thing will die a horrible death, faster than the Dreamcast haha :D;):p:)

Has made the PS4 and Wii U look so much more attractive..

I very much doubt it will need to be installed on another account, it will only be a different console which will cause the lock out.

The 'fee' for second hand games isn't even all about buying a used game. What if I buy a game and love it and want to take it to a friends house? Tough.

So yes that is a big deal breaker for me.

you log onto your account at your mates and bang it works, they made a brief ref to being able to play your games anywhere, if your mate then loves it i guess the "fee" will be to purchase a digital copy at full price, saves him going to the shop,

does mean letting your mate take the disk home to play it will not work, they are clearly trying a pc model to stop second hand games, pc has been dealing with it for years & its been ok

No official price has been announced, so it will just be a best-guess "placeholder" price like the PS4 at £399.99 to get pre-orders kicked off.

What are the chances of MS using reasoning such as "this is a console + PVR + teleconferencing device in one" and going straight for £500?

Because I honestly can't see it being much cheaper than that.

If that is indeed how it works I can still see flaws but I accept that it isn't as bad as I imagined. Still think it's a silly move though.
