**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Thanks Microsoft, but it's time we parted ways. Your stuff sucks. Your games sucks. Your policies sucks. Your pricing sucks.

I can't believe they followed up a nightmarish month with that E3 showing.

So long Xbox, cheers for the twelve years of fun.

I can't say they showed anything that makes me want to drop £400 within the next 12 months and the games I am interested in are either on 360 or PC anyway.

I'll see what Sony have to offer @ 2am, but I can see myself holding off buying either of them for the first 12 months or so, unless Sony has their best console launch to date.

Did you watch the wrong stream or something?

Nope but it becomes obsolete within a year where as a next gen console will last at least 7 or so.

If you thought the consoles were going to be around £300 then you are just being stupid tbh.

The last Xbox launched at £280, during what we now know was an economic boom

We must be stupid.

I watched a pretty awful Microsoft conference. This forum is the only one I know that is remotely positive. Neogaf, Eurogamer, Somethingawful, Reddit, etc are all absolutely slating it.

MGS5 and Witcher 3 were the only high points, and I'm willing to bet they were running on PC/PS4 hardware.

There were no expanding on the DRM policies, plus a price point announcement close to that of the PS3's. There were little to no talk of Kinect and cloud computing, which is highly schizophrenic of MS and shows that they have no confidence in themselves. They trotted Rare out to do a fighting game nobody cared about or seen in years, and a Kinect Sports game on the side, great.

If you like what you see, that's wonderful, but not everybody is willing to pay £400+ for this :)

People will pay 400+ for shiny Apple things. They won't pay 400+ for shiny tech things in general. And especially not Microsoft tech. Big difference.

What did they show that was new and different? (don't even think titan fall because you know it's just CoD with Robots :p) All I saw was the majority being the same old stuff we've had for the past 7+ years. They had some half decent stuff, but nothing close to making me want to slap down £400 for some shiny new graphics.

I'm guessing if they're going for 60fps they are not hitting true 1080p but maybe somewhere in between like 1600x900

Gotta be honest 1600x900 will scale worse on a 1080p screen than 720p which is a straight doubling of pixels.

There's a very high chance everything was 720p or maybe even something like 1280x1080 which Wipeout used on the PS3 if I remember correctly.

Cloud processing for AI and Project Spark are 2 that instantly come to mind, with regards to what was new and\or different.

Also the graphic quality to scope ratio has vastly improved considering we're talking about consoles here.
