Well, I'm completely underwhelmed by the games showcased so far so am hoping that something pops up and piques my interest otherwise I'll be waiting around for a while before getting another console for the first time in my life.
Well with some many people saying they won't buy a console cos of DRM and the possibility of both consoles having DRM and pc games getting DRM to, what's everybody going to do? Never buy another game again?
I think it's all been blown out of proportion, publishers set DRM not Microsoft.
As I said in earlier post if have a 24hr check stops hacked online games then am fine with that, everybody here has the net or why would u be posting on a forum?
So the PS4 is cheaper, has no used game fees, has no need for an internet connection every 24H, can play online for free or pay for extra access & the move eye (if that's its name) can be switched off, Is it me or did Sony just do exactly the right thing for gamers?
No you have to pay now.
Correct.
Was bound to happen at some point.
Any idea what the cost will be and whether it'll be for online gaming only?
There's talk of it being an extension of their PSN+ model, so not just paying for online play, but their free games giveaway too. Which makes it much more worth it. I hated the idea of just paying to game online on Live, although you kind of had no choice, if you actually wanted to enjoy multiplayer.
I must have missed that! what is the fee?No you have to pay now.

Beside the fee (unless it's crazy money) I think Sony have secured me as a customer by not going down the same route as the XBone.
Exactly this, I can't see any reason to chose Xbone over PS4 now other than blind loyalty the games they have look great but to sacrifice so many consumer rights for a few good games, I just can't do it.As a 360 owner since launch and never really bothering with the PS3, I have to say now everything is out in the open it does seem like a bit of an own goal for MS.
Things just got realy interesting as reguards DRM, i was one of the ones who thought sony would go with DRM to, the big question is do microsoft abandon 24hr check online and DRM to make gamers happy?
I think the publishers should now be getting asked which they are prefering DRM or no DRM
As they could now prefer one console over the other, still its gonna be a very interesting few months.
It's definitely going to be interesting because I'm sure EA will want DRM but will they want to be seen as pushing something so unpopular after making a big song and dance about ditching season passes.I think the publishers should now be getting asked which they are prefering DRM or no DRM

Now that Sony have came out with their policies, there is no real reason that MS shouldnt change theirs. Clearly no issues with developers\publishers and DRM, otherwise both consoles would be the same.
C'mon MS, eat humble pie, change your ways and there will still be a chance for you
