**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

MS have already stated the Kinect settings can be changed so it isnt listening for "Xbox on".

From what i've read, you can have total control on what Kinect is watching\listening for, just by turning it off.

The Kinect issue is a non-factor in my opinion.

If it is such a non factor and can be completely shut off then why the hell are they forcing us to have it thereby increasing the cost of the console.

Umm wasnt google and Facebook and a whole manner of online companies listed in that?

Got an Androind phone in your pocket, use a Chrome browser, how you think Google makes their money?

Yeah, that's why none of them will be selling me an encrypted box with a camera to point into my living room.

What's the situation with backwards compatibility with 360 games? As I understand, they won't work?

I've got a few games I've bought from the store, on-demand, will they work still? And physical disc copies not?

It's not a deal breaker but would be nice to have access to those digital copies still :)

Because Kinect will be used in many different ways throughout the life of Xbox One. Easier to get developers to buy into all the Kinect stuff if every Xbox One owner has one.

I guarantee the PS4 camera will soon be forgotten and only a handful of games will incorporate it.

Xbone sounds and looks more and more like the Betamax every day. :)

I didn't get a PS3 this gen, so I'm by no means biased. But PS4 is defintely the way forward. I suspect come Xmas supplies of PS4s are going to be limited if Xbox users start buying it in droves.

I personally thought 24 hrs is a bot short. Why not make it a week?

A lot of gamers could finish a game easily within a week...

MS were confident that we would except DRM, whether Sony were planning to do the same until the 11th hour who know's. But it points more towards the deal made with EA, who are now saying that they support used games, hmmm
