No, but you could rent a film. You won't be able to rent games if there was DRM.

Also loads of people sell on blu-rays.

You can rent films physically and digitally.
MS even siad they want to explore digital rent, but it wouldn't be available at release. But now that's unlikely to happen now either.
The DRM and forcing publishers to digital would have made such services likely, now there is no reason for publishers to do it. DRM isn't always bad, it enables things like digital rental. It's when DRM is taken over the top that it is bad.

It's obviously to allow them to block it, doesn't mean they will. Every single multiplayer could be blocked from second hand market, yet many publishers don't.
There's also the eu court case last year, that we need a rich person to take steam or similar to court to get it enforced.

Why even include the option? Why not say it's mandatory that all games be resalable through the selected vendors?

Your naive if you think there wasn't very specific reasons for that option.

Yes exactly, so once again unwilling to pay £30-40 for a game.

Jesus, everyone must either be really tight or poor!

So, going in to a shop, paying £39 for a game, going home then completing it, selling it on for £20 is apparently unwilling to pay £30-£40 for a game??

It's a absolute disgrace that they've folded because people are so pathetic.

I hope it gets hacked to buggery just like the 360.

That's the only reason that people want it disc based and anti DRM.

Your house must be REALLY full of stuff if you're against selling things on.

And now we have pages of everyone feeding the fanboy. How has nobody learnt yet? He won't change his mind and he doesn't really listen to anyone else's discussion.
