**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

I am now more inclined to get the new xbox but I will have to wait and see what its like. The only console I've ever bought on release is the PS2 as that were far superior than the Xbox at the time.

You bought the PS2 on release because it was superior to the unreleased Xbox at the time

I'm sure there were barely any details about Xbox at the time of the PS2 release. Maybe I'm getting old and my memory is awful now :)

I think this is what they are saying below...

http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/19/xbox-one-drm-marc-whitten/

"There are some bizarre added benefits of the new system, as well. One disc can act as a copy for several people, at least on the install. "If I had a physical version of my game and I went to your house, we played, and then I left with my game, you could actually buy the game instantly with no download," he told us. Since the Xbox One automatically rips disc-based games to its HDD, it essentially installs games on any box you play them on."
Thanks, I hadn't seen that article. That's fair enough then, I guess if all games were initially designed to run from the HDD it makes perfect sense.

Fora 5 was running on x1 but even there pc's the games will look as good when released

Probably will but you don't know this for sure, were they not running using Nvidia 7 series cards or something if I remember correctly?

It seems to be just PR gaff one after another :p

Forza certainly looks very impressive and should be a console shifter but MS have done their best to ruin the good work.

I'm actually disappointed with this U-turn, I quite like the potential of the system that was already in play. Would have prefer some sort of tweak like some sort of de-licensing system that could have been run and check via xbox.com to allow 2nd hand games sales for those that wanted to do it.

I would rather have seen the removal of the Kinect as an enforced device and a cheaper base model but, I imaging at this stage Kinect it too heavily integrated to remove without serious launch date repercussions.

If anything this has push me back towards the fence and I'm now getting an uncomfortable wedgy from sitting on it :)

Their is one thing for sure in all of this.

Who ever or whatever it consists of, the ENTIRE PR/Advertising and its people relations company/ internal employies have to go, as in fire them all, product after product they have failed at revealing and co-ordinating and presenting their ideas in a clear concise and easy to understand way.

It is utterly unacceptable how this whole thing was handled from the very first reveal, to the non existent answers to clear questions, to then falling back on silence, to the outright BS claims about it not being able to go back, and if wanting to play offline use a 360. Their is no way a company in this age can act like this and play the game of "vagueness" when you have hundreds of Blogs sites asking questions.

I dont mean this JUST in relation to the XO, the Surface being another prime example, and many other things.
MS have some brilliant things to offer to potential customers, but each and every single time they seem to have absolutely NO CLUE how to convey to people what they are doing.
