Absolutely, the only reason they didn't back pedal on that like every thing else is because they already have x million made. After xmas they will have to make the price cheaper to compete with the ps4 and the easiest way to do that is by removing the item the majority don't care about.

I'm still going by easter, although they could just reduce the price to match but my bet is kinect will go.
 
I dont think theyll make a Kinectless XO, much more likely to do repeated price drops before that happens IMO. Hell it wouldnt surprise me if they ended up price matching the Kinectless version with the Kinect one if they ever did it...

sorry, been playing catch up and browsing the pages.
I was getting irritated at people for having a go just because it's Microsoft.
Everything from bundled Kinect, paranoia about Kinect watching their loser ass playing games, to targeted advertising...
 
i don't understand why people think they would want to bother spying on people through the kinect, i think they'd get pretty bored pretty quickly watching me masturbate throughout the day in between playing games and eating.... not really spyworthy material is it but will be the same for the majority of the userbase... so whats the point in using it as a spying tool?

"Easily turn Xbox One and Kinect on or off.

To turn off your Xbox One, just say "Xbox Off." This puts Xbox One into standby mode where it's only listening for the voice command, "Xbox On."
You can also turn off your Kinect through the system settings, or you can simply unplug it. Xbox One does not require a Kinect to be plugged in for the system to function."

So if it's no longer needs to be plugged in, why force the consumer to buy it? Just remove it, bring the price down and let us have the choice.
 
Jesus we keep recycling the same thing, that was announced months ago. As for why it's included, it's quite clear. If you don't know, then go and have a think :p

Because they promised developers it will be there. That will have been part of decisions in the games design stages.

Check your local Game stores twitter feed, I'm trying to get in mine next Saturday but they haven't replied to me yet.

Edit: Or you can ask in store.
