I'd definitely be interested to hear comments from people on here who are attending the preview lock-ins. Especially regarding the controller as the d-pad on the 360 really ruined the experience of playing a lot of arcade style games like SF2 and castlevania. I hope MS genuinely have got it right this time and the comments in the above video aren't true.

Currently got both an xbone and ps4 on pre-order but I'm starting to wonder if I might be better to just cancel the xbone and stick with just the PS4 as most of the games I want to get are cross platform anyway and the PS4 seems like a better deal at the moment given it's lower price tag. I had a brainwave that I could use the cash to upgrade my PC. Then I realised that £400 wouldn't really go very far in terms of buying a gaming PC as the vid card alone would cost that on it's own even before I had to buy a new cpu/mobo/RAM/SSD/etc!

LOL, I keep talking myself round in circles so I'll probably just end up getting both consoles :D

It seemed the early reports was that the pad is amazing but as the general public get there hands on the controller, we're hearing a different story.
 
sadly i have just cancelled my xbox one preorder

it looks like a great console but im on a budget.... especially after just buying a vita :D ... it will go greatly with the ps4

i will pick up the xbox one after launch but for now the ps4 has everything i need. Xbox one looks great with kincect..... i dont see why they should get rid of it.

i have 2 issues with the xbox - their direction (personally i think they should have kept the family plan, they just keep going back on things), and there games for gold is nothing compared to the ps+ instant game collection.

You do realise you are not going to be able to take in a few bottles of beer, doritos, cake and biscuits? You will only get 5 minutes and not be allowed to finish DR3.
 
BTW I hope you aren't fans of 1080p on XOne. When the hardware is out on the wild you will see what I meant about issues. Upclocks too. Risk everywhere. This place is nuts. 2014 was a better plan.

I never mentioned Forza not being 1080p.

They should be able to make it. But, exception and not the rule though. Through this gen, never mind trying to match eyecandy. Thanks to the ESRAM, 720p-900p will be the norm on the XOne.

Another here who has now virtually all but decided to cancel their XBONE pre-order.

Apart from Forza 5, which I can live without as I was disappointed with 4, there are virtually no exclusives which interest me.

PS+ is such a winner, and I've just taken advantage of the Tesco Vita deal so I'll be able to use remote play etc. Even at this stage, you just get the feeling the PS4 will have more legs down the line.
