**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

I'm seriously on the verge of cancelling too, really cannot make up my mind. I've been an Xbox fan since the original and not getting one at launch leaves me feeling salty. Being logical I do spend way more time PC gaming now and the Mrs steals the TV most nights :P.

I just know as soon as it's released and all the fuss is going around I'll probably cave. Something just doesn't sit right with the whole console design and launch makes me think being an early adopter this time is gonna be bad.
 
Stilly odd questions but does anyone have a clue if.

The kinect HAS to be straight in front of you to use the basic functions..or say can it be to the side of the TV?

Ya think it'll have the tv stand to connect it to the top?

Me too. I just need to contact them and find out if the games I've ordered as well will come in the same delivery, or whether they will be sent by Royal Mail instead.

It won't have a TV stand, but I imagine some 3rd party will make one at some point.
 
It's a pain in the anus, as it says ticket notification so I always think something is wrong with my order :p

Only 5 weeks until release :eek:

Just had a reply. They're hoping to send everything together but they can't confirm this until nearer the time. Fingers crossed it'll all come together, otherwise I know I'll end up getting my games and spare controller through from Royal Mail at 10am, and be sat waiting impatiently for my console to arrive by DPD.

The new reputation system and smart matching sounds pretty decent. I just hope it can pick up when people mark you down just because they're sore losers. I imagine if it's got a smart element to it, it can probably see a trend in someone who does a lot of neg reporting.

Also the ability to sever contact with people is good. Play a match again them, but block them from contacting you, or communicating with you.

I know a lot of those aspects exist in Xbox Live anyway, I just hope they've been perfected.

My only concern is that they packed my Wii U really poorly (no bubble wrap around the games) and my accessory kit was crushed. Also DPD couldn't cope with the volume of orders so my DPD delivery was changed to TNT. I prefer DPD as they give you a time slot so you don't have to hang around all day. I might give them a message and ask if it will happen the same way.
 
Posted in the PS4 thread but also appropriate here. Watchdogs is no longer a launch game. It's been delayed until Spring 2014 on all formats.
