Managed to get a pre-order in for release day 
£473 with Dead Rising, happy with that. Thought I had no hope this late.
It's weird, I had my heart set on a PS4 since E3... but when the bundles turned up, I quickly realised there is literally no game I want for it. Only game I want is Dead Rising 3, so went for an Xbox. Still find it ludicrously expensive, but yeah, yolo or whatever.

I'm struggling to find any release deals now, I can wait but would have been nice.
SimplyGames has the standard £429 version with no games for pre-order here. I also bought Dead Rising 3 from Gameseek for £37.75 (using code XMAS for £2 off). I emailed SimplyGames and they set it'll definitely be at my house for release. So 467.74 in total.

Sonys still dropping big bombs on the PS3, whereas their competition seems to have forgotten their machine still exists, the big studios will be moving to the next machine now.

Yep. MS have chucked some more money at EA to make it that way. Even Vince Zampella from Respawn wasn't aware of the deal! It might mean PS4 owners have to wait for TitanFall 2

The thing is....does it make a difference whether they buy the studio or buy the game? Surely they're both $$ talking?

after all the BS aimed at MS lately i expect to see a lot more of this kind of thing going on they simply have the money to throw around to make sure the xbox brand is a success 
Yep quite a difference IMHO, buying a studio buys knowledge and collaboration outside of their own game development. The DS4 wouldnt be like it is without Guerilla Games consulting and making Sony make it suit them, so that, for example, removing the analogue buttons for digital ones removing input lag which dogged KZ2/3. The PS3 Cell would still be 'impossible' to code for if it wasnt for Team ICE and SSM helping other first parties get to grips with coding for it...
Its probably best summed up with an analogy of a work project and engaging a similarly skilled contractor or a permanent employee - I know who Id rather have...

I wonder what will do better, Titanfall or Destiny? Does sound very likely that the MS deal is for 1 game only, this may change after release dunno have to wait and see.

I think Destiny will sell better overall simply as it's a multiplat title. Both look amazing, looking forward to them.
Not heard a single thing about it, which is a little worrying. I don't hold out much hope for it tbh. It is meant to be a launch day title though, that much I do know.

Yeah I got that much but not heard anything of it , I loved hotshots on PS3 as did my Mrs.
