It is impressive, 11 countries on launch day must have been a head ache to handle.
tbh I was a little hesitant to say this, do wonder what the numbers are for NA , like for like NA ps4 sold vs Xbox one sold.
This article suggests they're not losing nearly as much compared to previous generations.
IIRC a Microsoft engineer said that Kinect costs almost as much to manufacture as the Xbox One console, so these consoles are probably not as expensive as people think (granted PS4 as a higher end GPU and GDDR5).
End of the day it doesn't matter. Sony will sell x amount of PS4's over it's lifetime, Microsoft will sell x amount of XBox One's over it's lifetime and I'll have both as I did with the 360 and PS3.
As I said earlier in this thread, or it may even have been in the PS4 thread, it's the customer that wins in all this by the choices we have. Sony and Microsoft's finances are their concern not mine.

how do you control kinect sport thing? it just sits at the start screen, im sitting in my seat about 5 feet from the kinect, it cans see me on the kinect setup ok

Just collected mine from the Citylink depo as it wasn't going to come until Monday otherwise where no one would be in to sign for it all week, woman on reception said I wasn't the only one who had been in to collect their Xbox One this morning. Amazon rang me back and have given me another £5 voucher added on to my account.
Just updating it now! it's super quiet and not as big as I thought it would be, the kinect has a nice weight to it as well

yeah lol I think this is where sense took over as she'll tolerate the ps4 but the Xbox one Kinect might raise a few eyebrows from her... And forza looked so good as well, still next year might try and see if I can justify one as a family entertainment system...
There are also a lot of failed BR drives out there...don't automatically assume it's due to fanboyism.
Anyways I was up at the local GAME where my mate works and yup they have some Day One editions available

Anyone got their sound bar working ok?
I have the Samsung 55" ES8000 and the Samsung E551 sound bar, its nearly working but the volume will not control the sound bar only the TV. I am using the pass through HDMI with Sky and the optical out from the Xbox to the sound bar. The sound bar is listed in devices which is good and I do get sound just can't control it from a remote.
