Once both consoles are out it may be an idea to have some kinda discussion, but it all end up in blood beaten pulp and the Mods will spend all their time going through the thread making us all play nice.

Its no problem as long as they don't mind getting a bit of baiting an stick back as well. ;) :D
 
Had a friend over last night and we were playing Dead Rising 3 most of the night, one thing I did notice is how incredibly annoying the random voice activation from the Kinect got as we were talking to each other. DR3 randomly picking up words as you don't need to say "xbox" first in that game so it's randomly pausing, opening the map, dropping hand items etc.

Surely there must be an option to disable it in the game

Not had picture freezing but the sound get messed up at times.

As for the headset, yeah really poor.. not sure about the sound quality as it was to uncomfortable to use so using the Kinnect until they sort something out for proper headsets.
 
How do I use the kinect for in-game chat in CoD? Its turned on in the XB1 settings but not picking me up in-game.

Yup.

Seems to not work and then after being in a party for ages with people, it suddenly works.

Initial googling points to a upnp issue and to try forcing the ports open

Not really sure why I didn't check last night :p Just checked now and you can turn some features off like "Drop Item" it seems, will turn those off. Can't see a general "Turn Kinect off" though for the game, could maybe just set it to another language or something.

Also was extremely impressed how quiet and cool the console stayed as it was on for about 3.5 - 4 hours. Put my hand on various parts of it to test now and again and it even when I turned it off, it was no hotter than "warm" and I could barely hear the system.

Keep checking order status, Still says 24th December. Email made out 12th or 13th.

When i got my camera they said 3 weeks and it come in 2 days. Can always hope :p

I just nipped onto xbox glass and everyone is on Xbox Ones :(
 
Guys in Forza 5 Multiplayer the most people i ever get in the lobby is myself and 2 others , it is like there are only 3 people playing online in the game as far as my Xbox one can tell
 
Hold up, so "Xbox on" is totally pointless without the controller turning on as well. If I have to press the guide button anyway, it's quicker and easier just to pick the pad up... Or is the "Xbox on" command moreso coming from the point of view that if you set it up, it will turn on your tv and amp too?
 
just been watching a twitch feed of some bloke playing DR3 and am really impressed, getting ps4 sometime next week but can see me picking up an xboxone if i see one.

Well, you can walk in to the room and say xbox on..have your system, tv and AV start up while you get a drink or whatever. If you aren't playing games you don't need the controller anyway...e.g. netflix.

I had a couple of races yesterday with about 6 including me in it.

Most people are probably working their way through career & rivals to get a good selection of cars before racing online.

That's what i'm doing, i've done the same on all previous Forza games.
 
Does anyone know how to get the kinect sports rivals to work??, i downloaded it last night but have been trying to get it to work but no dice. It just sits there at the main screen and i cant launch the game ie play it.

Any ideas??

EDIT: got it to work, have to use the d pad lol.
