Finally got a chance to play on my Xbone for about 4 hours over the weekend and here are my thoughts.
Forza: I'm not racing game fan but the game looks like the 360 version with brighter graphics. Like a PC game and you add the HD texture pack to improve the graphics abit more, not really impressed. But thats probably the PC side of me coming out and I am expecting too much from the games console.
Killer Instinct: I'm a fighting game fan, love the series and brought my console for this game. I love the game and really enjoy it, brought the full pack with all the characters and Killer Instinct Classic. Playing online is great, hardly no lag but I am on 120mb BB connection. Havent played against many Jago's, so hopefully this shows people are buying the game instead of using the free to play mode. Few problems I have with this game, its built on the Unreal Engine 3 (or a advanced version of it) Considering its a previous gen games engine, the graphics are nice but it takes long to load between rounds. Character select screen can take a few seconds for the character to appear on screen. Also its too button bashy, anyone can look good playing the game without knowing what they are doing.
Just Dance 2014: Probably no one in this thread brought it but I do like my party games and the Just Dance series. Works well with the Kinect and the Smartglass App on my iPad. I require less space in my room compared to the 360 version.
The console itself: I like the interface, snap to feature is good. Didnt have to sync my pad on first boot up. The Kinect is big improvement compared to the 360 Kinect, less space required, better camera quality and the face recognition on sign in is great. I haven't bothered with the voice commands yet.
Bad points: I have all my consoles on a Lime Energy Saving Plug, so it cuts power to all devices instead of them being on standby. The console takes about 30 secs from cold boot to get to the UI, so I will have to keep this on standby all the time. HDMI in has no pass-through, this is a real let down for me as I was hoping to use the port for my 360 instead of using another HDMI port my on receiver. Pass-through doesn't work on standby either, apparently MS will sort this out with an update but having HDMI in on a device without pass-through is pointless in my opinion. No DD 5.1, again being sorted out with a patch but promoting a console to be all in one multi media device but it doesn't have 5.1 support out of the box is crazy!
Over all, good console, I am happy with it......roll on PS4!!!!!!!
