**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Anybody else getting controller disconnection problems?

I'm getting rather cheesed off now with it!

I can be happily playing for 30 minutes and all of a sudden it drops out for a second and then says the controller was disconnected, but by the time that has happened, I can press A to continue so it's only a very short disconnect. It then tends to happen every 10 seconds for a bit, then settles down again.

From a quick bit of googling, It seems that some people have experienced these issues - it's a Day One controller if that's any help.

I can put up with it during Forza, but in BF4 multiplayer, it's impossible to play!

Having a quick chat with Amazon, they will send out a whole replacement for the console rather than just a controller, which is a bit of a pain really, but I guess I can just take out the controller from the new one and stick my old one in the new box - but I assume that the new one wont be "Day One" branded (though I shouldn't really care about that part really).

It seems a bit of a pain to be replacing the entire thing just when one part is going wrong. But yes, I think anyone who really cares about the Day One branding would be a collector and would never even open the box. :D

Shouldn't make it so damned easy then should they. Everyone do it :) They aren't going to ban everyone now are they. Besides it shows as a legitimate UK purchase. I just used my borderlinx address in the USA. Technically it's my address I use it all the time and I even have a card registered to it. I even used unblock-US DNS settings for the time I used it. If they ban me I phone them and tell them I did a shopping weekend in New York and logged my account onto a USA X1 and bought the game.

DR3 - Really enjoying this, sure the graphics are nothing special but when you take into account the amount on screen at once you can forgive that. The one thing about DR is that it's fun and this game proves that graphics aren't everything.

BF4 - I'm used to playing this on the PC at 1080p so I was disappointed with the graphics on this. It looks a jaggy mess if I'm honest, especially when you are used to the anti aliasing on PC. The game constantly kicks you to the dash and out of servers as well, its in dire need a of a patch. On the plus side the 64 players is great for consoles and it's still an amazing game. I'm hoping to get the PS4 version on Friday to compare graphics wise.

FIFA 14 - Tbh I wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I have and the graphics are very nice indeed. I've spent the most time on this so that says it all for me! Will be interesting to see what they do with next years effort.

The Console - I'm impressed, loving the Kinect features, apart from the other half constantly telling it to switch off! Loving the snap features, how smooth the transition is between the dash and hopping into a game. I think allowing you to play a game before you have downloaded the whole thing is also a step in the right direction.

They do need to make some basic improvements. Show my friends coming online! I want to see how much battery life is left on my controller as well! I will probably find other things missing but overall I've been impressed with what I've seen so far and the potential of the system.

Pretty much sums up what i think. I like BF4 and it looks alright, i was expecting it to look better if im honest. Fifa for me has been the biggest suprise, absolutely love it, the replays are incredible and it just look like real football thanks to the animations.

Forza for my had left me massively underwhelmed to be honest. Graphics are nice but not what i thought were next gen. Im sure there is something not right with the physics in this game, every car seems to massively understeer no matter what speed. Im no racing driver i just prefer the way forza 4 was.

Just realised if you change the xbox one to usa then buy a game for $59 then change it back to UK where all the games are £54.99 you end up paying just £36.96 each lol and it thinks you own the UK copy of the games woo thanks American money weaknesses! I've just bought need for speed £36.96 wahoo seeing as it bugs out and crashes on my pc when I tried it plus changing to 60fps messes up the pc copy massively so I reckon console is the way to go with this one.

Contact MS to see if they will swap out the pad? Could be an issue with the console bad not the controller.

Amazon said they'll send out a new box and I just have to return the faulty items by 30 days, so I'll first try the new pad, then if that doesn't fix I'll try the new console. Shame nobody I know has one yet. Going to try the xbox in a couple of positions and with/without Kinect to see if it's something I have done first.
 
Haven't really been in the thread this weekend so not sure if discussed, but is anyone elses 'crashing' back to the home screen when in the middle of a game?

My friend is having it with FIFA, and I'm getting it consistently with BF4 when trying to open my campaign (which is awesome BTW!).

Ghosts has been fine.
