**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Because Microsoft will feel this unlike Sony.

What? I never mentioned how the price would hurt anyone. In fact I think we already know that the Xbox One is sold at a profit where as the PS4 makes a profit when purchased with a game.

I'm just not sure what point your trying to make?

Okay, thank you :).

So I do the edit and upload so that my friends can see them? or friends can see them before that without actually doing anything?

It's not clear on the app, I must sound stupid, normally I understand all these thing without a problem!

Games will auto record clips at different times depending on what's done - I got one when scoring with a Volley - you can also say Xbox Record That for the same thing. These recordings then go into your "Uploads" folder where your friends and you can view them, after X time they will auto delete (not sure exact duration tbh) - you can manually save them by hovering on them and using the menu button then save.

You can also say "Xbox Snap Game DVR" while playing a game and start a recording which can go up to 5 minutes - it's stored in the same place as above.

If you want to share anything on Skydrive you can then use Upload Studio to encode and upload to your Skydrive account, from there you can then download and upload to youtube (I think direct youtube uploads are coming soon).

Hopefully that clears up some stuff... ?

Hey bud!

Good games indeed - I was having so many problems though, lag and graphical issues etc, was quite difficult playing! I'm sure it'll get sorted though :)

See you on again soon :D

Ill be on again tonight. Probably at around 8-830 ish.

I kept on getting disconnected after the round finished, I spent ages trying to re-join but the room was full.

Yes! thank you very much. Just wasn't sure if I needed to put clips through upload studio before my friends could see/view them.

Thank again.

According to this: http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/apps/upload-studio-sharing-clips

Clips are only available to watch by your friends after you have uploaded them. Auto upload would surely affect any online game you are currently playing. Also, each clip is reviewed before it's available to the public my MS isn't it?

I'm not sure that's true - I've watched plenty of clips Davey/Nokkon and Wyrdo have on theirs, not sure they have uploaded them??

I know to get them on Skydrive is a seperate upload otherwise I think it's all automated through the cloud and anyone on your Friends list can view your vids

/edit

That link is for Upload Studio where you can add effects/commentary so different to the "game clips" you can record?

Hah, I dunno!

You'd think the instructions would be a bit clearer wouldn't you?

I have seen Davey's clips too. So, the question is, has Davey Pitch uploaded these clips?

Maybe it autouploads them to the cloud, because I've watched on of mine through SmartGlass, though that could be just over the local wifi instead!

It makes sense it auto uploads to the cloud and the other "upload" is the Skydrive variant where you can then share with the wider internet.

Upload gives the options of Upload to Xbox Live or Upload to Xbox Live and Skydrive I thought?

Can't say I've really used it much yet, as mostly been on single player stuff. Still, BF4 deleted my single player last night, so will be MP tonight where DVR might be more useful.

The commands aren't too great. Xbox Record That is fine, works right in the game.

To record 5 minutes from a particular point you have to Xbox Snap Game DVR - Start New Clip - Xbox Unsnap (if you want to go back to full screen).

To save the last 5 minutes it's Xbox Snap Game DVR - End Clip Now - 5 Minutes - Xbox Unsnap.

Why do I need to snap all the time? Record That works. Whats wrong with Xbox Record Last 5 Minutes or Xbox Record Next 5 Minutes?

Not sure if this has been discussed and can't find any info on it anywhere.

When the Xbox is in instant on mode and performs updates I the background, how do you know when it has updated?

For instance if a game gets patched and I turn on my Xbox in the morning how will I know it's been done as we can't access the system files.

Well, if it hasn't been done and you launch the game, surely it'll tell you it needs updating?
