**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

they really need to sort out this party chat could not get it started tonight with a mate and also we had a night of dr3 planned but could not play it just kept saying unable to invite please try later.
 
Bought Ryse last night and I have to say - WOW, what a stunning looking game. I don't care if it's running at 900p, 720p, 1080p or 1440p, it looks amazing on my 47" TV. Considering this is a launch title it bodes well for the level of graphics we can expect in years to come.

I am really considering getting this, but isn't it just a mindless hack and slash?

Have you tried multi player? Do you rank up, get new, better gear and weapons etc or?

Yup, it's just mindless hack and slash, but I quite enjoy those games in general. It doesn't have a huge amount of depth combat wise (though I'm only a few chapters in), so I think it'll be something best played in shorter sessions so I don't get too bored of it.

Not tried the multiplayer yet, will probably do so after doing more of the story.

Well I've sent the best part of a novel to Game via email, detailing my dissatisfaction with the quality and current stability of the platform. So far, 3 controllers, all faulty, including replacement (loose casing, buttons jamming and sticking), a noisy Xbox, a disc drive that intermittently doesn't read the disc and after some hours of use the Xbox has noticeably slowed down with regard to responsiveness and navigation of the dashboard, finalising the farce with a high pitched audible noise from the Xbox, which I can only assume is the fan going into over drive..

When it works, it's bloody brilliant, and I just want a decent, working Xbox One.. :mad:

*EDIT* With that said, if this get's sorted - I'll get Ryse :)
 
Really, really enjoying the XO so far! I love the voice/gesture control system. It's great to be able to use the console without having to pic up the game pad. Perfect for watching films! Such a quiet console too.

I got a day one edition w/ Fifa from Amazon about a week ago, so have had a good chance to get used to it. It's more of a novelty feature, but it's great to say "Xbox On" and have it turn the TV on also.

Dead rising is amazingly good, as is Forza 5. The shear amount of Zombie's that the console can handle without frame rate problems is mad :O.

Overall XO = Awesome.
 
Has anyone had any issues with the Xbox randomly recording game clips?

It has happened to me several times now in all of my games, playing bf4 last night and all of a sudden I get a notification to say a clip has been recorded.

Yes, it does that and is intended.

For example it'll record it when you do something special like rank up, or knife someone.

Also, if you want something to record, if you did something worth bragging about you can say "Xbox record that" and it'll record the last 30 seconds of game play.
 
That's down to the individual games. It's annoying.

No, Fifa! I don't want a clip recorded every time the AI goalkeeper makes a save! :p

So I've completed Assassin's Creed and I can trade it and pay and extra £10 for another game, problem is, I'm not sure there's any other games I really want at the moment.

I've got DR3, COD, and FIFA.

I was thinking maybe Forza or Ryse but I'm not sure I'm interested in them.

May just get a bracket for the kinect and a play and charge kit.

That's normal,

it records highlights for example everytime you are promoted it will record or if you gain something "special"

I didn't really enjoy Ghosts Multiplayer much not a fan of the maps what so ever so it kind of gave me the only option to move over to Battlefield this Generation.

Really pleasantly surprised enjoying it far more than Ghosts multiplayer is fantastic and not that I have done much of the Single Player but it looks decent unfortunately quite buggy where the saves can delete so holding off campaign.

Worth checking it on youtube see if you'd be interested in it just a suggestion thats all!
 
10 of these for sale in my local Tesco, £449 with Fifa.

Cex have dropped their price slightly too, on buying and selling.
