I just walked in store, I go there most lunch times so have been checking now and again out of interest plus my mate is after a PS4.

I've rang the tesco stores though and they have an automated message about both consoles, basically saying stock is unknown and you have to go instore.

Don't bother, its worse than you are led to believe. Terrible aiming (especially compared to COD!), awful hit detection, crash happy and the multiplayer server list is seriously flawed.

The only issues I have is sometimes getting kicked back to dashboard.

The reason for 'terrible aiming' is down to the fact people can't aim and need tonnes of auto aim, which COD gives them. BF4 doesn't hold the hands of crap people as much as COD does.

Terrible aiming how? Hitboxes twice the size of the player, as in CoD, or as in I actually have to aim?

As other said, its more realistic... you're just used to CoD aiming for you if you point in the general direction. Also BF4 uses much more accurate bullet drop so it doesn't matter if your cross hairs are on someone - it doesn't mean that's where the bullet is going to hit.

It is crash happy, but seeming only on Conquest really. Team Deathmatch (which is actually fun on BF4 - unlike CoD) and Domination it is much more stable. But the terrible stability is still shocking - COD definitely has that over BF4.

Not sure what you mean by the multiplayer server list being flawed??

The maps, the gameplay, the environment, the sounds, the pace - everything is better than what CoD has come to represent.

Because it's bugged and plagued with terrible hit detection. BF4 is a game of who has the best internet connection ATM as you often just shoot through people to have them turn and 1 shot you instantly due to how bugged the auto aiming can be and how pathetic suppression is.

The server list is flawed as it often says "no commander slots left" when you join as a soldier and there's also an issue with "full" servers were they are reported as full but have 5-20 spare slots. All dice servers as well so no reservations.
 
Can anyone confirm something for me?

When running the detailed diagnostic I ping 160ms. My understanding is that it pings the US, is that correct? I also suffer between 1-4% packet loss of average with an average download speed of 6mbps.

Is the packet loss reflective of the US server I am pinging again or not?

I am beginning to think the lag and stuttering may be my connection, although 6mbps whilst crap, should easily run and communicate with the came above what is needed.

Referring to BF4 here..
 
Ok this might seem like a stupid question to everyone but how do I check if I am actually on Live Gold?

This is what the Xbox Live website is showing for my account:

I did use one of the temporary access codes (can't remember if 3 or 7 day) but I think that has expired now. - Would these make the subscription section state that I am on Xbox Live Gold for their validity period?

I am asking as Judging by the console / live site I don't have Gold, yet I can access all of the things that require Gold (IE, 4OD, Machinima etc). I do recall downloading these before entering the temporary code as well.

I have not paid for Gold (no details added to console at all), so I am a bit confused. :confused: (Good confused BTW as I don't mind having access to these things).

its like 50 quid for a gold xbox one item on amazon which im sure is overpriced. i presume theres no difference betweeen any gold item?

I think you're looking at one of the other sellers on amazon as it's £35 on amazon but not in stock till 12th December: Linky

Cheapest I can see at a quick glance is £34 on GAME.
