I don't see the need to abbreviate it / make up daft names.

I never saw all the fuss about "George foreman grill" etc with the PS3 either. Or Sony claiming "Toy Story graphics!", or the BS "Emotion Engine"!!

Yes people shouldn't do jokes, even obvious ones when it comes to Xbox as the brand is becoming synonymous with not enjoying yourself it appears.

A joke needs to be funny tho, maybe I'm just getting old, but blabbering on about an XBone (when it's not even called that) just seems a little sad.

Oh look "Xbox One" can be abbreviated to "XBone" if you take some of the letters out! And that's funny because they showed a dog during the presentation! My concern is if I buy a game and my son wants to play it, on his Xbox One console in his room (for example) I need to pay twice?

Surely MS can use some kind of linking of accounts for families so paying twice isnt needed. Something similar to the Family Gold subscription maybe?

But some people have previous experience with kinect, I know that I have had issues with mine not picking up my voice properly and have had to raise it, what's to say the new one will be any different? No one knows at this point so his question was perfectly valid, plus there is no need to go personally attacking someone on a forum about a game console! Let's all be friends!

If you aren't that daft, then you must just be pretending to be, in order to try to put down an electronics product. In which case, you need to get a hobby or something!

How so? Because they've designed their product to appeal to as wide a segment of the market as possible? Rather than focusing on one (the core gaming segment)? Surely appealing to more customers is sound business strategy.

Sony are doing some serious focus strategy, much like Saga do!

But it's all speculation at this point, no one knows exactly how it is going to work, yes it can more than likely be switched on with the controller, but this is supposed to be an informational thread. Maybe there are some people that haven't read up on it so much and have just come to ask a question, should we really be calling people stupid when barely anything has been confirmed about the hardware and how we are to use it?
