**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

Not a hope having tried one. 2014 will be spent playing all the games I meant too but never got round too, unless they do some aggressive price cutting.

They should have allowed me to use my 360 pad and do a version with no controller that was £30 cheaper ;)

Didn't like the pad? I think it's absolutely fine, doesn't really feel any different from my 360 pad when playing.

No I didn't, hated the shoulder buttons. The rest I could get used to. Hated the UI with a passion, Ryse looks fantastic but Viking on the 360 is a better game.

Doesn't stop people bigging it up as it's looks good, the irony after being told for months it's about gameplay not graphics ;) The combat was so meh, it might as well be a ubisoft combat game.

DR was better than I thought, but I could only play it in small doses. I've gone off one all together now as the days have past. I could live with the slow release of games but the UI, my god that needs some work before I ever consider one again.

The sale figures for the quarter after xmas will be interesting. I can walk into my tesco still and pick one up.

Huh? When did I start on the XO? Im having an issue with your poorly constructed/conveyed conclusion one that seems to be made on pure conjecture - I dont understand the need for your defensiveness...

EDIT: To answer your question, Im saying without further evidence its hard to say anything other than its a rushed game to hit launch that needed a day one patch...

ps3ud0
Nice politicians answer there when challenged, so what you're saying is you have no real opinion, experience or information on the subject. I think your prejudices when it comes to XO speak volumes given your desperation to try try to put a negative spin on things and argue a point when you freely admit to having no evidence to support your stance in the face of common sense, experience and frankly blindingly obvious logic.

I am however growing quite fond of your outbursts in the XO thread, they're quite amusing if a little predictable in their negativity. You do however make me smile so keep 'em coming. :D

I think its quite obvious who doesnt really know what they are talking about and end up attacking the poster, rather than the argument at hand. Seems to be your MO...

Guys quit the bickering, it's quite literally boring to read.

Let's get back on topic. Who's looking forward to the xb1 version of spartan assault next week? The local coop thing should be immense fun. Comes with the expansion pack also!

LOL... You seem to have no evidence to support you claims, make some vague mutterings that you think a patch is in no way effected by having to take into account being developed on a OS that is unfinished and itself under constant change and development and then start moaning when challenged. I like you, you're funny... :D

No, Im afraid you make some tenuous argument which when challenged you faux offence .

Right back attcha... :rolleyes::eek::D

It'll be interesting to see how it makes the transition from a touch based interface, although from what I remember it seemed to be using touch to replicate physical controller type so it should if anything be better.

Well considering your example youve used to illustrate your point, Dan Greenwalt already advised that the size of Forza 5 patch was largely to do with content and drivetar setups...
“So when you first boot up the game, we’re going to ask you to log in,” he explained. “And when you log in you’re going to get the Drivatars and you’re also going to get a whole bunch of content: tracks and cars. Our production schedule is such that we are putting them in as late as possible and that means making them free as downloadable content on Day One.

“[But] that is required content to play the game. We basically have designed the game to work with all that content no matter how late is coming in, in order to make the biggest game possible.”

Not your fault Macro, yet again youve been found wanting trying to pass off guesswork as useful insight that you cant substantiate...

Btw I didnt say there was no way it was affected, more that that granularity hasnt been observed, otherwise you could have at least backed up your claim rather than dodging it and then accusing me of the same thing you are doing (that was laughable stupid of you)...

Time for you to be passive aggressive again, why dont you wriggle out by saying that was only one of your examples or it was a bad one, not like you to not check your facts and make things up

Really looking forward to Spartan Assault, will be a nice early Christmas present for myself.
Will be good to actually play something on the Xbox One again, as in all honesty it hasn't got a look in since the PS4 arrived.

DR 3 and ghosts are keeping me busy so far. My mrs also loves peggle 2 and xbox fitness so I've got no chance of a ps4 purchase anytime soon lol.

Spartan Assault on Windows has controller support, so will be the same as that.

I enjoyed it on Windows 8, until the update (free DLC) wiped my save game.

If you have bought it on Windows 8, it should only cost $4.99 for the Xbox One version ;)
