TBH as Woden said, if privacy is an issue, just unplug the bugger when not in use. Not a great solution but it removes to concern neatly. I think its more the last paragraph of that article that really interests most, when the console is on what does Kinect need to have access to, to allow you to do whatever you are doing (assume its not a Kinect game)...

TBH the kinect thing doesn't bother me at all, I've got a seperate room in my house for the fappy fun times, and tbh if MS want to watch me veg out and eat crap food all day good luck to them!
