Xbox One X

Considering the relatively small amount of users on here the number of problems is really high. I had numerous issues with my Scorpio edition and to be honest the whole X experience hasn't been great and this week was the first time I've used it this year.

I pre-ordered Gravel this week as I thought it about time I used it but then found out the X version doesn't support HDR so cancelled that today and ordered on the PS4.

MS really need to have a good E3 this year and get some games out this year because there is nothing at the moment

Yeah it is a bit slow for games at present for me personally as well, looking forward to try Sea of Thieves as well as Far Cry 5, just a slow patch, start of year with no big news yet, Im looking forward to this years games across platforms, spring onwards looks promising.

Yeah it's been a bit quiet but to be honest it's giving me a little chance to play a few games that I purchased and never played. Monster Hunter world consumed quite a few hours for me recently

Same for me, playing games Ive not finished, recently completed Rise of the Tomb Raider that I purchased back in November.

Argos finally got some stock back locally so I swapped out my buzzing X for a replacement which is much better. That console lottery.

On another note, I really like the hardware and gamepass is saving me a ton of money having not had a MS console since a brief stint with the 360 I've lots to catch up on.

Just to confirm, you mean the advanced exchange pending charge in transaction history on your Microsoft account disappeared, I just checked my account and I still have a pending charge despite them getting my faulty console back on the 26th January and receiving email confirmation.

Tried chatting to them but they keep giving me random rubbish for why its still pending.

Anyone had any issues with the X whereby when updating a digital game it does a few % then pops up and says ‘installation stopped’? I’m not out of space and have just over 2TB free, have tried hard resetting and clearing cache??

Yep, advanced exchange. Can't they tell you on the phone if they received the console? I wouldn't worry as you have an email stating they received it anyway so if they do take the money you can just show them the email and I'm sure they'd refund you

I haven't tried calling them yet, just used the chat support, I will give it one more week or so and see if anything changes after my chat today. Cheers

Ever since I got my one X I haven't been able to play multiplayer SW bf2 or cod ww1, it just times out when trying to connect to a game.

I am online though (can access the store, can play games like ESO). Any ideas ?

I'll be honest, I wouldn't even know how to check this? Oddly everything worked fine on my previous one s (same router etc).

Does anyone use mic monitoring on the Xbox One X and does it work ok?

I have the HyperX Cloud Stinger headset but cannot hear myself speak, the mic monitoring slider is all the way up. I'm looking at upgrading to the HyperX Cloud X headset but if mic monitoring simply doesn't work very well I might not bother.

If you're looking to upgrade your Headset, I was gifted a Plantronics RIG 800LX for Christmas and it's excellent! The sound quality is superb and battery lasts ages. It does give a virtual surround sound even when not using Dolby Atmos. The short Dolby Atmos demo's are stunning and I will pick up some 4k/Dolby Atmos films at some point to see how it sounds then.

What about mic monitoring when in games? It's fairly unclear what is required to make it work. Some say it's the controller that provides the monitoring, others say it's the headset. Some forums say mic monitoring on the xbox is just plain crap.

To be honest, I've not had a problem with anyone hearing me, even on the OG Mic that came with the original Xbox One plugged into the Scorpio Edt controller. Assuming therefore, that I've not had a Mic Monitoring issue so I cant really comment/make a suggestion.

Sorry, mic monitoring is feedback of your own voice through to the headset you're wearing. Useful when you're in say a gun battle so can't hear yourself speak, prevents you from shouting to your team mates and waking the Mrs up.

Ahh I see! Personally, that would do my head in! I'd find it too weird speaking and then hearing myself - but each to their own!
