XBOX Project Natal

but the path seems very scripted.

The path is clearly scripted, that much is obvious, and not really the point of the demo.

I wasn't actually talking about the path, I was talking about the 'conversation' and the interacting etc.

I too found that very impressive now you mention it. But again i've fallen into the same trap of stupidly listening to what Peter Molyneux says. Again he blew it out of proportion, made out it was completely unscripted and open, and because of that the geek within me instinctively wants to point out his bullpoop.

You're right, it's a very exciting step forward, i just wish that numpty Pete hadn't been the one presenting it as he detracted from the important parts of the presentation.

I'll only be interested in Natal if we can have our own pornstar to interact with. It would need some sort a physical device to work though. Giggity giggity.

I think a lot of people misunderstand his passion and judge him as hyped.

Can't deny the fact that he's the man behind a handful of the most influencial games of all time.

There has been a demo using the stock version of Burnout Paradise which was suppose to be very good, a random rumoured price of $200 but I suspect it to be a little cheaper with a free game etc. Probably not due out for a while but yet Microsoft really do need to get it out as soon as :P

The problem is he's riding that past success.

He's riding it to push new boundaries though, If this Milo effort works out, then he'll be riding this success towards his next innovation.

a lot of people say this is following rails, well it's a short e3 demo. I'm guessing in the long run, although yes it will stay following the rails to some extend, the outcomes will be much more varied. Maybe it wont even be Milo in the long run.

Microsoft half-bottomed response to the Wiimote - and like the Wiimote it will ultimately fail to deliver.

Mark my words...

It's superior to the Wiimote, and the uses in dashboard are what I'm looking forward to

Its interesting tech and I think it would be cool to use in conjuction with the controller, like how track ir works when playing a racing, flight sim.

makes me lol, PS3 owners refer to it as an eyetoy rip off, Wii owner refer to it as a Wiimote ripoff - both are completly missing the point (or sticking their fingers in their ears and going "lah lah lah").

It's like the Avatar debate last year all over again ;)

Nobody would pay 200 bones for that. You can get a Wii for $250, so nobody is gonna pay what, $400, $500 for an xbox and NATAL.

Any more than $100 this thing will be a massive failure IMO.

What IS the point? STOP PRESS!! Microsoft copies someone else's idea! :D

Wii uses a wiimote, this is totally hands free. Eye toy as far as I'm aware doesnt do voice recognition, and neither are integrated as well as natal from the look of things
